"Aunt Belle, there is something I want to tell you," Eveline said, flashing her apprehensive eyes at Belle.
Belle could feel the strain grow in her bones. Eveline's eyes were filled with anguish, squeezing her gut.
"Tell me," she stated.
Eveline closed her eyes and took a big breath."I think Mom is alive," she revealed, shocking Belle.
"Erna? Alive? How is this possible? She got shot in the heart. Her chances of survival were extremely low. How can she—"
Belle abruptly stopped talking when she realized what she was saying, but Eveline's calm expression made her uncomfortable.
"So you know she was shot." Eveline smiled in unexpectedness.
"How many things have been kept secret from me, Aunt Belle?" She inquired, her eyes inquisitive.
Her heart was becoming increasingly unclear, and she suspected that everyone around her was deceiving her in some manner.
