Gabriel couldn't help but chuckle, but when she flashed him a frown, his smile froze and he coughed, turning elsewhere.
Eveline wanted to strike this man, but she couldn't since she couldn't send him to work with a swollen lip.
Eveline took a deep breath, cleared her mind, and sighed for the sixth time only to get interrupted by Gabriel's phone ring, causing her eyes to open to gaze at him.
Gabriel's expression turned serious when he answered Leon's call.
"Yes, Leon," he replied, his brow furrowing with each word he heard from his aide on the other end.
"Great. Keep the paper ready. We'll get it signed this evening," he added, ending the call.
