Chapter 114 : My horse, my rules.

Dodwen hummed happily to himself as he walked to the carriage. They'd already spent an hour resting and needed to continue their journey. He stopped cold in his tracks as he reached for the door and gulped.

He could already feel the tense atmosphere in the carriage which meant someone or something had put him in a bad mood, [ Walking into the Lion's den ] He quickly turned around and took one of the extra horses [ I'd rather ride than be stuck with a grumpy Eros all day ]

On the other side of the carriage, Eros was silently fuming as the little Pashidowl on his shoulder mocked him, " How are you the smartest of your generation "? Eros frowned, glaring at the little creature " I don't think your the best person to be chastising me ".

Pashidowl laughed, flying in circles over his head " I'm not gonna take that personal since you just got rejected and abandoned ". Eros sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose " I don't want to think about this anymore ".

" But it's my horse, who says I can't ride it "? Nectar pouted, pulling the reigns with Axis who frowned, " This is a dangerous creature, you bringing it along is reckless enough ".

Nectar rolled her eyes, tugging it back " Rampage is alright and my horse. Of course I'd take her with me ". Axis' brow twitched, " You're being unreasonable ". Nectar didn't back down, " And you're being super duper bossy ".

Liam and Luscious could only sigh in defeat. Liam had somehow been convinced by her to bring the horse along and she was definitely not gonna let Axis tell her what to do just because she herself didn't want to " Here she goes again ".

Luscious actually found the whole thing amusing, Axis was always the serious kind. When was the last time he'd seen Axis act like this? " Why don't we take a break "? Liam nodded in agreement, " That's not a bad idea ".

Nectar and Axis looked at each other then the both of them, " Stay out of this "! Nectar held on tighter to Rampage's neck, " My horse, my rules ". Axis groaned in frustration [ She's so difficult to reason with ] " She's dangerous. You've got the entire Crepta continent's royalty on this trip. Are you trying to get us killed "?

Nectar rubbed her face against the horse's neck, " Absolutely not. But that's why she's called Rampage, so you get the message ". Nectar managed to catch Axis off guard and took back the reigns and quickly jumped on the horse, " We need to move. They're already leaving us behind ".

Liam got on his horse as well, Nectar talking baby to her horse " Aren't you the smartest horse ever? Yes you are ". Axis sighed, rubbing his temples " She doesn't realize how dangerous the creature is ". Luscious laughed, placing an arm over his shoulder " I think she does. She just doesn't care ".

Nectar enjoyed the ride but kept feeling someone was insulting her. Though that wasn't strange, it was most likely because she was the only woman not in the carriage, " I feel slightly out of place ".

Axis who was riding on her left smirked, " You can always get in the carriage your majesty ". Nectar steered the animal slightly, moving up ahead " What was that you said? I'm too busy enjoying this ride ". Axis shook his head dejectedly and sighed, watching Nectar having a carefree time on the horse.

Archie played with his lips as he stared out the window, it was just miles and miles of green and he'd gotten bored. Everyone else was sleeping and he couldn't bring himself to wake any of them up.

" Archie, you there "? Archie looked down at the dark red stone he'd forgotten was in his lap. Nectar had given him this earlier and though he did find it pretty, he thought it was just a rock.

He shook it lightly, " Jewlica "? Jewlica giggled lightly, " You sound like your scared ". Archie really was as he turned the stone other in his hand, " How did you get trapped in there ".

Jewlica laughed again, " Look behind you. I'm fine ". Archie crawled to the other side and looked out the window. He saw Jewlica smiling and waving at him. He looked between the stone and Jewlica, confused " I can see you yet hear you clearly from here. Amazing "!

August popped up by the window as well. Green dots appearing in his mana stone, " I know right, we think so alike ". Archie laughed, enjoying his conversation with the two [ So this is what having friends feels like ]

He sighed, looking back at the still sleeping women " I wish I could come over ". August shrugged, " We'll just ask Sister Qidu to help ". Archie frowned, " How does this have anything to do with Sister Qidu "?

He watched the two exchange a few words with Nectar before she nodded in agreement. Archie curiosity stared as she crossed to his side of the carriage and passed behind Axis.

Nectar whispered with a smile, " Your rides here. Would you like a free trip "? Archie laughed and nodded then suddenly frowned, " How? We can't stop the carriage if we don't have a good reason ".

Nectar laughed playfully, wiggling her eyebrows " Who said anything about stopping? Your small enough to fit through the window so just jump ". Archie blinked a few times, processing what he just heard and still wondering if he actually heard right.

But the expectant look on her face made him realize she wasn't joking [ She can't really be serious ] She spoke reassuringly, " Don't worry Lil prince, I'll catch you ". Archie nodded, blindly trusting Nectar's words as he climbed to the rim.

Nectar held out one hand for him to take as he caught it and she pulled him to her side. Nectar laughed, putting him in the saddle " Good job Archie ". Archie laughed with relief, " That was exhilarating and so much fun. Can we do it again "?

Nectar laughed, poking his cheek, " Maybe another time. August and Ica wanted to have you over. Wanna go ". Archie nodded, with a smile on his face " Definitely, but we have to be quick before father notices ".
