Happy Birthday

Rudy, even if he knew that they will conducting a birthday party today, still feel happiness and joy since this is the first time that he will celebrate his birthday party with his real family.

In original canon, this world has tradition that they will celebrate the birthday of individual when they reach 5, 10 and 15 years old. They didn't proceed to 20 because the mortality rate is high due to the dangers of wilderness, quests, war and labyrinth.

Many delicious food, thanks to Lilia and Zenith, are already set and ready to eat. The birthday pie, replacement for birthday cake was ready to be slice. Rudy approach his birthday pie and slice it.

After they start eating, all the attendees in his birthday party are starting to show there presents.

Paul gave him a long sword.

"In a boy's heart, there must be a sword to protect the people important to him---" Rudy couldn't help but to grin while ignoring his father's long speech.

Although he will eventually have Senbonzakura in his side, he is thinking that maybe he can keep it as a family heirloom.

"---Therefore, you need to put this away carefully and use it only in times of need." At last, Paul's long speech was ended. Even though he didn't listen from the entire speech, he doesn't want to be rude to his father and let him finish his speech.

Zenith gave him a thick book.

"Since I can see that you love to read, whenever you are not having lessons with Roxy and darling, I present to you the book about magic seals." This is quite something. In original canon, Zenith gave the original Rudeus a book but not about the magic seals.

What did he do to caused this kind of blessing? But of course, he hugged Zenith tightly and kiss her cheeks.

"Thank you, mom. You really are the best." Zenith was slightly blush and pinch Rudy's cheeks telling him that she will do anything to make him happy.

Lilia gave him a mesh shirt.

"If you ever become an adventurer, this shirt might help to keep you away from danger. As you can see, this shirt is a magic tool that changes size based on it's wearer and has a good durability and defense, capable to take arrows and swords." Lilia explains what capable this mesh shirt of.

To think that even Lilia makes an effort to give him a present, he promise himself that when he obtain the Cursed Chains, he will activate the Holy Chain so her old wounds that engraved in her legs will be repaired.

Roxy gave him a wand.

"I created this whenever you have your sword lessons. To be honest, I plan to create a staff for you, but I think that using a wand makes you become more agile and speed to produce attack spells.

Even though staff are more stable and can produce powerful spells, the only setback is you need to concentrate on your chants and also longer casting." Roxy thinks that wand are more suitable to Rudy than staff, since he was capable of using voiceless incantation.

The wand was 30 cm in height with a small ruby-colored gem stone adorned in front of it. The overall appearance was very modest.

Rudy approach Roxy and hugged her tightly. Without hesitation, Roxy hugged him back and the two was slowly entering in there own world.

"I love you, Roxy." Rudy whisper his another confession while addressing her name without honorifics. He kissed Roxy in the cheeks and slowly part her, thinking if only time slows, he will snuggle her a little longer.

While Roxy was being shy while trying to hide her embarrassment by looking down, Paul suddenly whistles to cheer his son, and Zenith couldn't help but to place her palm in her forehead because they can see themselves to Roxy, a maiden that falls in love to a playboy.

Lilia was being suspicious that maybe this two have a relationship, she doesn't know if Rudy's parents talked about these two taking a bath together and sleeping together. Since she knows her position in this family, she keep quiet for a while and maybe confront Rudy that she needs to treat women with respect.

After Rudy receives all his presents, he confronts all the attendees so he can tell something.

"Mom, Dad, Aunt Lilia and Teacher Roxy. Thank you for this wonderful birthday. I really appreciate it." Rudy couldn't help but let his feelings out, making his eyes leaks tears non-stop.

All of them couldn't help but put a smile on their face since they can see how thankful Rudy is. When they are trying to approach for group hug, they suddenly saw Rudy's eyes become deep red with a tomoe, slowly becomes two tomoes.

Rudy didn't know whether to laugh or cry due to having a breakthrough in his Sharingan. Now having two tomoes, he can now start his illusion training. But the timing wasn't right, exposing his secrets to his loved ones can be dangerous in a lot of meaning.

"What the? Rudy, when did you get demon eyes?" Paul was worried the most since he clearly saw what happened to his son when he overexert himself while training. His instinct tells him that this demon eyes are the reason of Rudy's absurd talents in fighting.

All the girls in the house are still gasping some air. They are familiar with demon eyes since Zenith, previously an adventurer, Lilia, previously a bodyguard of royalty, and Roxy, an active adventurer and a home tutor as a side, already encountered an individual with demon eyes.

Demon eyes are given by Kishirika Kishirisu, the great empress of demon realm. In there history, it is said that she has different powerful eyes to her followers or individuals who see her as worthy. For example, Zenith and Paul's friend and also the member of there ragtag party, Ghyslaine. She has a demon eye in her right eye that can see the flow of mana.

The problem is, they don't know how Kishirika gave Rudeus demon eyes since the great empress of demon realm was already perished in the human-demon war centuries ago.

"Uhmmm... Will you believe me that when I was still a baby, even though its vague, I still remember that I saw a little girl with wavy amethyst hair and a goat like horns in her head." Rudy was trying to push the blame to Kishirika.

"I got an odd feeling because I noticed that her eye color suddenly changes from time to time. Then she told me that I was worthy at something and she gave me a blessing. That this eyes contains a powerful magic that makes me stronger." All of them don't have a choice but to agree in Rudy's statement since they don't have enough knowledge on how Kishirika bestows her demon eyes.

"Rudy, thank you for telling us the truth. But please hide your demon eyes as much as possible since it may attract trouble when someone found out that a child has demon eyes." Zenith hugged Rudy tightly and warned him that no matter what happens, he have to hide this to others.

Paul and Zenith explain to him that that little girl might be Kishirika Kishirisu. They tried hard to recall her legend and tell Rudues that maybe he was fortunate that this empress saw him as a worthy of giving demon eyes.

Rudy, of course already know Kishirika's legend that she died in the human-demon war and perished by the hands of her husband, Badigadi. He also know that she was reincarnated as a little girl and if he follows the original canon, he will eventually meet her in an alley of Wind port. But he listen carefully so his white lie won't exposed.

Roxy on the other hand, takes this as a premonition of sorts. She analyzed carefully on what Rudy said and she conclude a possibility of Kishirika being reborn again.

After the Greyrat family recovered when they saw Rudeus's Sharingan, they didn't let the atmosphere become gloom and start the party once again. Even if there son has demon eyes, it won't change that they love Rudy and want to cherish him.
