Chapter 30: A Space Based Dungeon and a Villains Den

"It's a space magic-based dungeon."

Ryu's eyes couldn't help but glimmer as he thought, 'I could probably get something related to my past life! If I could, my godly power and control over space magic would be greatly boosted!'

"Although we haven't entered the dungeon, we used a device to know what dungeon archetype would appear, and the result that came out said that it was related to space-magic. I thought that you would be interested in this dungeon." Fumiko said with a smile as she had a hunch that he was interested.

"I'm interested," Ryu spoke calmly despite being incredibly excited. Fumiko smiled as she thought, 'I knew Ryu would be immensely interested in space magic-related stuff. After all, he's probably the best space magic user in the world as of now.'

"Since we're quite curious about an unknown dungeon, I propose that my team and I come with you to raid the dungeon. However, since the dungeon is technically your property since you're probably the only one who can clear it, we won't be taking any spoils that we get from the dungeon." Fumiko proposed a plan to Ryu.

'Heh, they're curious about a space-related dungeon since they haven't comprehended space magic that much. Even in my past life, when I was still human, the people in that world spent hundreds of years deciphering it.'

'The fact that people in this world had already managed to utilize space magic, albeit scarcely, shows how monstrous people can become if paired with the right technology.' Ryu thought.

'It won't be a problem for them to come with me. I don't know much about the dungeons that appear in this world.' Ryu pondered a bit more till he finally reached a decision.

Ryu then looked toward Fumiko as he said, "That's fine with me. I have the advantage, after all. It would be stupid for me to refuse something that would greatly benefit me. I can sell you the things I don't want… if I have one."

"Hahaha, you're right. Well, I'm hoping you do have some drops that you don't want. I'd gladly buy it!" Fumiko and Ryu concluded the deal.

"The faster we raid that dungeon, the better. I propose that we begin the raid tomorrow morning." Fumiko said a little bit of information to Ryu.

"Ah, I see. But won't I teach classes tomorrow?" Ryu couldn't help but ask.

"You do have classes tomorrow, but you managed to teach both subjects of Chantless Magic and Space Magic to the students in one class, so your class tomorrow can be postponed," Lilia spoke with a laugh.

Fumiko simply joined in laughter while Ryu couldn't help but laugh awkwardly at this matter as he said, "That was probably the only good lesson I'll be able to teach students."

The three of them couldn't help but laugh as they ended their conversation with Ryu saying, "Alright, I'll be seeing you tomorrow then, Fumiko. Ah, and Lilia, Alex invited me to go somewhere with him, and he said it would take a while, so I'll probably be back home late."

Lilia then looked at Ryu with solemn eyes as she had a hunch that this was not just a 'going to somewhere' trip. Lilia then nodded while sighing, "Alright, I'll tell you, mom and siblings, as well. Stay safe."

As soon as school hours ended, Ryu followed Alex into Alex's car. As soon as they entered, Alex spoke, "Alright, we'll head towards a secret location. You're planning on showing the whole world via a stream, right?"

Ryu simply nodded as this was the best way for the world to see it.

Alex couldn't help but sigh as he said, "This isn't just a matter of revenge; we need an alias for you. To be exact, a villain's alias."

"So you want me to become a villain?" Ryu couldn't help but ask. He then thought, 'Wait, actually… It would be a great idea to be part of the Villain's troupe… that way, I could gain more information without necessarily relying on Alex. I can't just reveal everything to him.'

"Yea, it would be good too since one of the pillars of the Villains is Abaddon," Alex added.

Ryu immediately turned his head towards Alex. "Are you saying that—" before Ryu could continue, Alex cut him off.

"Yes, you can slowly reach him via the rankings of Villains. You'll be able to eventually meet him face to face if your villain rank is high enough." Alex said as he started the car and drove towards the city.

"Why are you telling me this?" Ryu couldn't help but ask.

Alex simply chuckled as he gave Ryu a sidelong glance, saying, "I told you before, I don't disappoint my clients. I gave more information about Abaddon to you, but be careful; he has an unpredictable background and series of connections within the underworld."

'Alex probably isn't just some random private investigator. Knowing this information… I'm sure he has a huge role in the balance of this world currently. They're probably trying to use me as a pawn in their plans… I guess I'll play along for now.' Ryu nodded as he glanced at him.

As soon as they finished their conversation, nothing was said much as Alex drove quickly towards the city. "Ah, Tokyo, the city filled with wannabe gods," Alex muttered so quietly that it would be impossible for a regular person to hear it.

'Is this his way of leaking confidential information to me? Hmm… Alex… he seems to know something about me… Is it because of those 'Discerning Eyes' of his?' Ryu thought as they entered the city.

Then after a while, Alex parked his car at a secluded spot, which was incredibly familiar to Ryu, as if he had been here recently. Alex then said to Ryu, "Alter your face. You don't want your identity to be known here. Use any high-level disguise magic as they can easily scan your face through a mask. If you can't cast one, I'll cast it for you."

"Don't worry, I can handle that," Ryu said as both of them disguised themselves as entirely different people.

Alex now looked like a literal Viking, with ginger hair tied into a ponytail and a massive beard. His facial structure was completely different, but his body type was still similar.

Ryu, though, could use incredibly high-level disguise magic that could alter everything from his body and appearance. Instead of looking like a handsome demon, he now looked like a handsome dragon with the same white hair, but he had a light gray iris, a completely dark sclera, and sharp nails. He also had a choker, so he looked like he was addicted to gothic stuff.

(A/N: A nod to our main character's previous appearance.)

Even Alex was slightly stunned as Ryu made himself a bit shorter than before, so it was almost impossible to know it was Ryu since his height was completely different. If it wasn't for the fact that he had 'Discerning Eyes,' he wouldn't be able to tell.

They then approached a door with Alex knocking as he said, "Here, the smoke of magma flows, wings filled with fire."

'I knew it. This place was a villain's den.' Ryu gazed at Alex as a voice was heard from the other side saying, "Name?"

"Bjorn."

"I sense two people; who is the other?" The voice asked once more.

"Thanatos."

"You may enter."

The two then entered the room, and instead of them simply being in the room, the space warped as they teleported to another place.

Ryu couldn't help but smile widely as he thought, 'Someone actually knows how to use *Portal*? Hahaha, and the fact that the person is colluding with the villains… I need to know who this fucker is.'

There were only a few people here, but Ryu sensed that they were powerful by human standards. They were probably as strong or stronger than Lilia. He didn't know if they had the same experience as Lilia since she had to fight Ryu every day for three years.

As Alex and Ryu walked together, a man who had short brown hair, a short beard, and a huge scar that traces across his face from top-right to the bottom-left of his face while wearing a full gray suit approached them and asked, "Bjorn, it's nice to see you back. Who might this young man be?"

"Dario, the 'Gentle Psychopath,' what the hell do you want, you bastard?" Alex didn't really like the man named Dario.

Dario couldn't help but laugh insanely as he said, "You do know me the best, you bastard! You never get deceived by any tricks! HAHAHAHA! Well done! Though, I can't say the same to this attractive young man."

From his actions, Ryu started to really dislike him as well. As soon as Dario slowly reached his hand out to touch Ryu's face, Ryu instantly glared at him with bloodlust written all over his eyes which slightly terrified Dario.

"Terrifying! *Sigh* I guess I can't use another newcomer. WHY ARE ALL THE NEWCOMERS FUCKING STRONG?!?!?! FUCK! Ehem… You can go to that room over there, enjoy~!" Dario then left as Ryu and Alex headed towards the room Dario pointed at.

"That bastard is fucking disgusting. I can't stand his fucking face and the way he fucking acts…. He's also a manipulative bastard as well… very cunning." Alex just let out his voice loudly, completely encompassing the act of a loud Viking.

As soon as they entered the room, Ryu and Alex cast a soundproof barrier as they both said, "Now, let's start formulating a plan."
