The Forgotten Yet Remembered Spar

10 minutes later...

Swoosh. Click.

"I have returned Miss is there anything you require of~," Ashely said upon entering the room before having to stop as she could sense the tension in the air.

Building up between Eveline and Crystal as sparks formed between them while Adam stood on the other side of the room. Glancing at his son with curiosity and worry as if he did not see that his wife and ex were about to duke it out.

'Um, on second thought, Eveline doesn't need anything from me, so surely she wouldn't mind if I just left, right?' Ashley thought as she began to slowly retrace her steps, after winking at her boss and best friend.

However, before she could step out the door, Crystal turned around and asked her a question, "Wait before you go, could you tell me why you smell like blood?"

She asked with genuine curiosity while Eveline glanced at her assistant with disbelief as she sighed. Before waving her hand, giving her the right to speak on the subject.

"Oh... well one of our spies committed a crime worthy of death, so I did what I needed so that Eveline wouldn't have to dirty her hands, to not dirty the hands," Ashley replied honestly even though minuscule droplets of sweat were trickling down her forehead.

"Hmm, it seems I judged wrongly maybe you do have good taste, Eveline… so, what happened?" Crystal asked as she redirected her focus to Eveline and awaited an answer, after hearing the door close behind her with a click.

"Well, Crystal someone managed to sneak into our clan, and I don't know who for they somehow bypassed all security measures and destroyed all security cameras within a 50-meter radius of Rin's room," Eveline replied as she glanced at Adam before gazing at Crystal, who had her eyes closed as she pondered something after spinning her finger in the air.

Creating a perfect circle in the air that began to slowly expand and engulf their surroundings before muttering, "Reveal."

Causing everything in her sight to disappear as darkness overcame her momentarily as the light returned. Allowing her to see a glimpse into the past as she witnessed Rin wake up briefly before falling back to sleep. During which an entity made of pure darkness yet coated entirely in light appeared afterward and whispered something into Rin's ear.

Before sighing as it gazed at the two guards, who tried to attack it and waved its hand petrifying them in the process. Yet just before it left it suddenly stopped and smiled at Crystal, causing her vision to once again be engulfed in darkness as she opened her eyes and sighed.

A few minutes later…

'Sigh, Rin just why can't you be normal and live the life of a mortal?' Crystal wondered as she gazed at her son before staring at Adam and shaking her head.

"So, what did you see, honey?" Adam asked as he approached Crystal and comforted her.

"Something that we can't fight nor conquer…" Crystal whispered, "Luckily, it had no malicious intentions and only retaliated when Violet and Stuart were only trying to do their job."

"Um, could someone please fill me on, what's going on here?!" Eveline asked as she did not understand anything that had happened in the last couple of minutes.

"None of your business, Eveline! Just be, fortunately, the person who entered your Clan did not destroy it!" Crystal shouted as she glared at Eveline.

"Be fortunately the person who entered… did not destroy it? So, whoever or wherever appeared in Rin's medial bay had the power to destroy our clan even though we have three Peak True Gods holding down the fort." Eveline muttered before exiting the room in a daze and walking back to her office.

Thud.

"Uh... just what's going on and why is the room spinning?" Rin muttered as he clenched his head and tried to sit up.

"Rin, is everything okay?! Are you feeling sick? Does any part of your body hurt? How many fingers am I holding up?" Crystal asked as she rushed to her son's side and helped him sit up while asking him a set of questions in rapid succession.

During which she inspected his body from head to toe as worry and anxiety laced her voice, since which mother would want to see their child injured or worse dead at the tender age of fifteen?

"Thanks," Rin replied as his headache gradually went away, 'Sigh, who would have thought during the moment the space shattered behind me and those reddish-black particles entered my body? The faint shadow of an eye would appear briefly and blink, unbeknownst to me and most of the crowd, which is what allowed Goliath to possess me.'

Rin thought as began to recall the scene of his and Wendell's fight and just sighed before answering his mom's questions, "I'm okay Mom, just a bit nauseated and light-headed, also, were you holding up three fingers?"

"Well, not quite but that was good enough."

"Damn..." commented Rin.

"No cursing, young man," Rin's father said as he walked over and hit his head.

"Ouch! Okay, okay I understand but did you have to hit me twice, though? As I am still in the process of~" Rin said before turning to his side and throwing up.

"Recovering it seems..." Adam said as he finished the rest of his sentence, after moving out of the way.

The minute he saw Rin's cheeks swell and throw up, a blackish liquid-like substance on the floor and had a faint smell of blood wafting from it.

"… sorry about that," Rin said as he wiped his mouth.

"It's alright, at least it seems you're getting better," Adam said as he flicked his finger and burned whatever Rin threw up, getting rid of that disgusting smell.

"Now, then young man since you have the energy to move and talk, would you like to tell us what happened back there?" Crystal asked with a smile as she squinted her eyes and stared at Rin.

"Um, what would you like to know, Mom? Also, could me and Gabriella still spar?" Rin asked even though he already received the rewards for the First System Mission.

"It's possible, however, I would advise you to spar with her tomorrow after using the rest of the day to rest and recover your lost strength, Rin," Adam said before Crystal could say anything.

"I'm fine with that and then it shall be time to get ready for admission into Forbidden Blood," Rin said with a smile as he could not wait to see the fabled school, where Gods and Devil once fought.

"Rin…"

"Okay, so I acquired the forbidden technique during the tomb raid of a Warlock King with John, which was named Slayer, however, most probably know it as D…"

ZAP!!! BOOM!!! ROAR!!!

"… sorry, Mom but it appears even the Heavens, won't allow me to speak on such sensitive information. But I can guarantee you, I will not be using it anytime," Rin promised with a troubled smile, 'As I'll probably die the next time, I even try to even use it.'
