Lunch Break - Part 3

After waiting in line for an eternity, it was finally their turn to order food.

"So, could we please get three servings of Korean fried chicken, one classic, sweet and spicy, and soy garlic? Along with three Spirits and a serving of pickled radishes and some rice cakes." Maze ordered even though she originally planned not to get Ethan anything for his rude conduct earlier.

"Coming right up, miss! Would you like anything else besides that?" The lady at the counter asked just to make sure.

"No, but thank you," Maze replied.

A few minutes later…

"No problem and here's your food, miss! Hope you have a wonderful day and do remember to give us a five-star review, thank you."

"Haha, I will, and hope you have a wonderful day as well," Maze said as it would be rude not to give them a five-star for such excellent customer service.

"Now where exactly did those two knuckleheads sit?" Maze wondered as she looked around the cafeteria yet could not find them anywhere in sight, 'Did they get a table on the rooftop?'

She thought before hearing someone call her name.

"Yo, Maze over here!" Rin shouted as he stood up and waved for her to come over to a secluded corner of the cafeteria, where a small booth was located near the window.

"I didn't know what to get y'all, so Rin I got you the classic and Ethan here's yours. Oh, and if y'all want you could take some of my pickled radishes and a rice cake." Maze said as she arrived at the booth and began handing out food.

"Hmm, I would have liked spicy but I'm fine with classic, so thank you, Maze," Rin said as he began to eat.

"Thanks, kiddo but where's my beverage?" Ethan asked after receiving his food and not seeing something to wash this all down with.

"My bad, I almost forgot I had ordered us three Spirits," Maze said as she took out three Spirits and gave one to Rin and Ethan, "Now is there anything else I forgot Ethan, or are you just going to keep pestering me until our food gets cold?"

"None, that I can think but next time order yangnyeom instead of soy garlic as I can't have my breath smelling bad for the hoes, thank you," Ethan commented as he dug into his food.

"Truly, you can't be serious, Ethan?" Maze said she just rolled her eyes and sat down and began to eat as well.

"I assure you, Maze, he has been like this for as long as I've known him, regardless of who's around," Rin commented after taking a sip of his Spirit.

"Oh, how I wish this was a but a lie, baby, however, sigh… this is but the real me, so get used to it as I am not going nowhere." Ethan joked as he played along and grabbed a couple of pickled radishes.

"Rin, please do tell me this is a lie as there's no way, Bianca has more tolerance than me. Considering if it has only been a day and I am already fed up with your bullshit, Ethan! There's no way she can tolerate living with such a headache for the rest of her life." Maze uttered with disgust as she truly prayed Bianca found someone better as this was not it.

"It's not just you, Maze I be wondering how too... but hey it is what it is... so how can I complain," Ethan replied nonchalantly in between bites as in time, he will be a free man once again.

"Wait, wait one sec as I've been meaning to ask this since orientation, but when did you get engaged? As the last time I saw weren't you and Cindy still dating?" Rin asked curiously.

"I was but a little birdie came out of nowhere and stole my heart for a moment, before shattering it and proclaiming, I'm her husband out of nowhere and chasing Shawty away," Ethan said with a deep sigh as he sipped on his Sprint after finishing his food.

"Damn... but wait, if she broke your heart then why are you still with her? Considering you love to act like a high-profile playboy in public, but a lover boy behind doors." Rin analyzed as this did not sound like the Ethen he knew, before realizing he spoke too much, "Oops, my bad, I kind of forgot she was here."

"Sigh, it's cool man, no need to feel bad as it was bound to come out one day," Ethan said through gritted teeth as he got up and threw his garbage away, "But anyway it's getting kind of late so peace y'all."

"Peace dude, and do remember to get some rest man as tomorrow is bound to be hectic," Rin said as he took out his phone and realized it was about 2:00 p.m.

"I will... oh and goodbye as well, Maze!"

"Bye, Ethan."

"Damn, I guess I got to go as well, so bye Maze," Rin said as he grabbed his food and took it with him, leaving Maze to her own devices.

"Tsk, so emotionless no wonder you're still single," Ethan said after Rin walked away and exited the cafeteria as he just had to take one more jab at her. Or else it just would not feel right, you know.

"Ethan, don't..."

"Relax, Maze it was only a joke, but do you think it's true, Rin received it?" Ethan said as there were more important matters to discuss now than making jokes.

"Sigh... maybe, maybe not but he will never know for certain until tomorrow so bye Ethan. And please do better at least for Bianca's sake as she doesn't deserve someone, who will just play heart and take advantage of her innocence." Maze said before leaving as she returned to her dorm to rest and meditate.

And then there was just one, bringing an end to our little lunch break...

Yet, while some went off to train, others explored the campus and got a better feel for where everything was while others used this time to gather information and plan for the future.
