Interlude - Part 1

Meanwhile, in the God Realm...

'Just what will happen once they see each other again… will she give up her humanity for the greater good of mankind, or will my liege paint the Cosmos red once again with the blood of her creations?' A young devil wondered with a smile as he sat on the edge of a cliff dangling his feet.

While staring into the bottomless abyss below him that was staring back at him with its cold emotionless eyes that resembled two swirling pools of darkness.

"Sigh… welp, I guess only time could tell, huh? But then again, did not that seer from the Occult claim she already knows the result of their upcoming fight after using the book of Revelations?"

The young man muttered as he retracted his gaze and stood up, 'Yet that is only if you are to account for those who participated in the war and earned her sigil. So just how much would change if I participated as per orders of Leon and Noctis, would the outcome change, or shall all cease to exist yet again as the game restarts one more time?'

He thought with a smile as he dusted off his clothes and glanced at the sky with curiosity at what the future holds not just for him but for everyone as he took a deep breath. Before closing his eyes and performing a set of mudras that caused the sky to crack and tremble as thunder roared, astral winds howled, and fire scorched the very void as a shower of blood began to fall from the firmament like tears of a weeping mermaid.

Drenching the young man in blood as his clothes burned to ashes while the cliff, he stood on crumbled into dust as his once fair skin turned brittle and black by the continuous strikes of lightning.

Yet, no matter how shocking or horrifying it was to see the abyss continued to stare at the young man with eyes devoid of emotions, as it watched in silence as the apparitions of the Six Warlocks of Reincarnation. Entities born from the mind of Origin manifested before the young with smiles as they glanced at each other in agreement before flying into his body.

Bestowing the young man, the power of a Tier 5 Creator, gifting him the opportunity to alter Reality, gleam into the future, or even change the narrative, but at the cost of his immortality.

However, in exchange, the apparitions used his body as a feeding ground to replenish their lost power as they devoured the young man's soul, body, and mind. Transforming this once youthful man into a dried-up corpse who could die with but the touch of a feather.

Yet, while his body may be old his mind was still sharp as his eyes glowed with a radiant light, which pierced the veil and traversed time and space, allowing him to view the future…

But only for a fleeting moment, before he had to close his eyes and look elsewhere... as he glimpsed upon… a world ravaged by war as everything around it slowly crumbled, where Wanders jumped from Universe to Universe trying to persevere what little remained of the Cosmos.

While Creators and Empyreans fought within the skies of the God Realm altering its structure with every punch and kick thrown at each other as their subordinates fought with zeal and brutality upon the battlefield. That changed with every passing minute as the Cosmic Alliance and the Elders of the Forsaken traded a life for a life as their top combatants died one after another like fleas at a market.

Yet, upon this battlefield made of blood and gore from the mangled corpses of friends and foes, no one noticed the expanding and contracting mass of nebula that floated above the Eye of Beholder. Obstructing anyone from peering into the fight that was about to occur between siblings of opposing ideals.

Whose power and presence could offset the battle with just a simple snap of their fingers, but in the end, it seemed...

"Fuck!!! Come on it was... sigh, so this is the limit of my power, huh? Fortunately, my liege managed to survive," The young man now on his last leg whispered before closing his eyes, allowing nature to take its course as a breeze appeared from nowhere and pushed him into the abyss.

Which smiled for once since its creation as it preserved the body of this fallen soldier, until their faithful reunion…

***

Concurrently on a desolate planet, where even shrubs struggled to survive, one spaceship after another entered hyperspace as they left behind their once-prosperous civilization and home planet.

After the recent collapse of the planet's core reactor, that only left them a little under an hour at most to evacuate before "KABOOM!" Giving them only a brief window of time to pack up and travel to an unexplored planet located in the Multiverse X which was surprisingly outside of the territory of the Galactic Federation.

Something most races would love to have at this moment, however, while everyone hurried to leave this once beautiful planet. A group of people on the opposite side of the planet, wearing black cloaks kneeled in a circle around a floating white stone pillar that had a black sundial on it.

As if they were not aware that this planet was about to explode like a grenade while a green-haired woman walked around drawing a gigantic pentacle. That encompassed everyone kneeling on the ground as she muttered an incantation that caused the black pendant she was wearing to flicker as a drop of blood slowly formed within the pendant.

That grew larger and brighter until it filled the pendant and dyed it red, just as the woman finished drawing the pentacle and completed her chant. Causing the blood-tainted pendant to detach from her neck and embed itself into the pilar.

Leading to the sundial on the pillar to produce a beam of light that shot into the sky, painting it white for miles without end.

Swoosh! Boom!

Yet, that was not all as just when the sky began to clear up a vortex suddenly appeared in the firmament and began to devour the last bit of the planet's vitality. Along with the blood of those kneeling who pleaded for help and shouted for mercy after being stabbed in their hearts by tendrils which drained them of their blood essence.

Following the removal of the green-haired woman's veil, revealing the smile she hid underneath as she watched her subordinates slowly die as blood gushed from their seven orifices. Becoming the necessary sacrifices needed to unseal an ancient entity, which will bring forth the light needed to cleanse this new era of its darkness.

So as one believer after another died the pillar slowly began to radiate a faint magenta light as the sundial upon it melted and fused with the pillar. Before a ray of light entered the green-haired woman's body as the pentacle dimmed and dissipated following the silent collapse of the pillar.

Which left behind a purplish-green key, which the woman grabbed before flying toward the vortex.

A couple of minutes later…

After arriving at the vortex, a door shackled by chains could be seen floating silently among the broken space as it contained a keyhole.

That seemed to be the exact size of the key the woman had prompting her to input the key within it and turn it right as a crisp click sounded from the shackled door. Yet no matter what she did she couldn't open the door or remove the key, confusing the woman as she thought she did everything as stated in the letter.

However, unbeknownst to her she just created a gateway to purgatory, a place where the souls of sinners were judged before God's Eyes. Which caused the shackled door to rattle ever so gently in the void as the mourns of ghouls rang from behind the door asking for salvation.

Causing the chains wrapped around the door to glow with a dim light that penetrated the barrier between dimensions, constructing a bridge to the astral plane and releasing a being of pure darkest.

Whose smile brought light to the Cosmos a light that was once thought to have gone extinct, after being forgotten by time herself and sealed by Elizabeth during the battle of Order and Chaos.
