Little Brother

"My younger brother was someone who no one particularly expected anything from." Aseko began leaning against the wall as Eclipse took to sitting cross-legged on the carpeted floor, not wanting to do anything that might cause Aseko to feel annoyed at him. "He was a bright child, a little pompous but then again, that might be our fault." 

Aseko paused before sighing, "If I am going to tell you, I suppose I should explain the situation of us siblings. Or … has Hler told you already?" 

"He has." Eclipse said quickly, not wanting to waste time talking about something he already knew. 

"Alright," Aseko said, a faint look of annoyance crossing his face before it disappeared completely. "We will not be talking about that then, but I will address it occasionally." 

"Sure." 

"So, he was the son of the last person my father took as his wife. I believe Hler told you that everyone says that my mother was favoured?" 

"Yes. I remember that."
