75. The Hushed History Part 1

The Witch's expression became neutral all of a sudden, and her eyes became empty and shallow. Aisha didn't budge, and her face remained cold in front of her.

"Your eyes seemed to be filled with more than a blackhole, I see more," the Witch said after rising an eyebrow at the lady in front of her, "show me the real you first, then we can keep going with our talk" she smiled at her and took a seat showing Aisha she dropped her guard so they can be comfortable with each other. Funnily, Aisha, who usually doesn't trust anyone, dropped her guard down and sat in front of her.

"I'm the Witch. You probably already know since you took the trouble to search for me. And you are?"

"What do you know about Warrior 0?"

"Right into business huh?" She giggled and smiled wickedly at her, "Dunno if you deserve one though?" Aisha released the dark mana, turned her left arm to a blade, and aimed it at the Witch. Her eyes were spitting poison.

"Whoa there~ I didn't mean I won't answer, but that doesn't mean I will"

"Stop word twisting and speak up" the Witch stopped smirking and smiled softly at her, Aisha frowned at her and didn't take the blade away, not until a few minutes passed and the smile didn't leave the older woman's face. Aisha sighed and laid low her weapon, she stared at her for moments before she sat properly and asked her question again and in a more proper way.

"I need to get answers, lady Witch. There are a lot of questions, and I'm in dire need to get answers"

"I get it" she nodded her head and smiled again at her, "then let me first tell you a story that will probably answer most of your questions, and if it doesn't, then feel free to ask" Aisha nodded her head and moved her chair closer to the old lady preparing to listen with all her senses. The Witch giggled and patted the younger's head and summoned a big book filled with dust.

She blew away all the dust and brought Aisha close to her before she opened the book.

"A long time ago, in a time when peace was the only thing known. Humans lived and monsters did in their worlds and dimensions far from each other. One day, out of nowhere, a portal opened. Out of curiosity, the monsters and beasts jumped into the glowing door not knowing what was awaiting them. At that moment, both sides knew peace will never last, and the worst was coming"

Aisha sat properly and looked at the Witch expecting an answer.

"Back then, humans were too dumb to understand that what's in front of them is also a creature with soul, mind, and own intelligence. We're talking about humans since the Jurassic timeline, so you can imagine"

Aisha nodded her head and looked back at the book excited to hear the rest of the story.

"After centuries and humans evolution, the two parties didn't meet again until- Hmm, I guess around the time when inventions started? Yeah, I guess it was around that time" the Witch nodded her head and looked back at the book between her hands.

"You think you know what happened after, but trust me, you knew nothing," she said while staring at Aisha's brown eyes.

"The story you all were taught, the monsters attacked first. What the monsters knew, YOU humans started it. No one was right, but that doesn't mean no one was wrong. It was true both sides attacked the other, but it wasn't the monsters nor was it the humans. It was Dark Mana. It did exist back then, but it was caused by the imbalance caused by the released mana from Earth"

"I remember that part of the story-"

"Let me guess. Earth released the mana within it so it can send it to the chosen one?" Aisha nodded her head with a frown on her face, "it breaks my heart to tell you that also was a lie" Aisha flinched and her eyes grew bigger with every passing second.

"Earth as a planet has nothing to do with that, it's "Earth" the one that lives in the planet's core. You probably don't know yet buuut... Earth is lifeless, no, it's just like any other planet, and "Earth" that lives in the core is the main reason for what it's like right now"

"Who is "Earth"?" Aisha asked breathlessly. The shock was clear in her eyes, who would ever believe all that they were knowing were nothing but lies? The truth is hidden from the outside for no main reason.

""Earth" is one of the first Dark Mana master minions. They had been living with him forever, and master decided to let them pick a place to live in and grow with their people, and there, they met Nature, their source of happiness"

"Are you going to start telling me a love story?"

"Oh no! It wasn't a love story! It was a love-hate relationship! Nature used to detest Earth because they always smell of blood, she can't be blamed! The smells made everything around her die slowly. Hmm, as far as I remember... The two are still in that kind of relationship, even after all those years" she grinned before giggling at the two remembering how they used to be.

"What about you? Can't Earth track you down?"

"Oh no! They can't, because I removed myself from every living being's memory"

"Why?" The Witch flinched and turned to look at Aisha with sad eyes and a forced smile. Aisha frowned wondering what might cause her to make such an expression.
