Chapter 8- Great Feats

Ever since the day that Wan Zhu came over to visit him, Wan Long had found a big deposit of Spirit Grass, a low-grade cultivation resource. Fortunately, the Power of Gluttony seemed to accept the Spirit Grass as a feasible resource and it did not cause trouble for Wan Long.

Instead, it allowed Wan Long to reach a breakthrough during this time. He went from being at the Second Level of Body Refinement to the Third Level of Body Refinement. Along with his cultivation growth, he unlocked a few more memories of Long Er Du and obtained another martial skill, the [Elemental God's Combat Style].

This martial skill allowed the user to use the various elements and empower themselves, either in the form of armour, or weapons. However, there was a catch to it. One had to possess unique elements that were fused with their bodies. The term for these types of things, are 'Martial Sources'. Martial Sources were extremely rare, even in the world that Long Er Du lived in.

If Wan Long did not have an Martial Source, then the martial skill was useless. Though it had its restrictions, it did have its strong points. If one were using an extremely strong Martial Source, such as a Phoenix's Nirvanic Flame, or a Water Qilin's Tidal Core, one would be able utilise this martial skill to its fullest potential and overpower one's enemies easily.

During this short period of time, martial cultivation was not the only thing Wan Long had great accomplishments in. He had even attained a slight amount of comprehension in God's Eyes. This was an amazing feat as God's Eyes was something that Long Er Du, the most talented individual in the entire universe, spent half a year to comprehend to the initial success stage.

This meant that Wan Long's talent for martial comprehension was just slightly lower than Long Er Du, that legendary character who was the leader of the Seven Gods. Even if Wan Long had only comprehended a slight bit of God's Eyes, the power that the it provided was unbelievable. Wan Long had the ability to see martial energy that was produced by cultivation resources.

He used this power mainly to search for more cultivation resources to feed his dantian. This was how he found the cluster of Spirit Grass in a secluded spot in a crevice located near the mountain.

In the early morning, Wan Long opened his eyes and got up from cultivating all night. There was a slight orange glint in his pupils due to the God's Eyes. With God's Eyes, he could train his eyes through absorbing the sunlight from the early mornings. He walked out of the house and helped his parents do household chores and cook the meat that he occasionally got from the carcasses of Demonic Monsters on his way into the mountains.

His parents were both at the Sixth Level of Body Refinement, which was three levels above Wan Long's current cultivation. They were both stuck at this level of cultivation for a few years as they had no means to get cultivation resources due to having to care for Wan Long and their talents were also relatively low. Wan Long's father, Wan Niu, had a low fifth rank talent, the Silver Ox. While his mother, Wan Qing, also had a low fifth rank talent, the Flower Serpent.

Through methods that he learnt from the memories of Long Du Er, Wan Long found a way to conceal his cultivation and made it so that others could only see that his cultivation was at the Second Level of Body Refinement. He did this so that no one would be suspicious of his cultivation increasing so much in such a short amount of time.
