Dan-bi won't just budge.
Yo-han sat somewhere in the hospital hallway in disguise, monitoring Kim Hyun-Jun from a corner. He wanted to step forward and go see the man but he felt some restraints. He felt that he didn't deserve what Kim Hyun-Jun did for him. This man took a bullet for him even though he held almost no regard for the man. The man wanted a father-son relationship but he doesn't even consider the man as his father and here even though the man knew this, he still decided to get in the way of the bullet. Kim Hyun-Jun always wanted to hear him call him dad but he never once called him 'Dad' to his face, though in Min Ju-Eun's presence, he now refers to him as dad.
Yo-Han exhaled loud enough for one to know his heart is burdened, he was watching closely without a word as Soo-Jin catered for Kim Hyun-Jun through the glass part of the door, then he said to himself with a low tone, "D... Dad... I know I should check on you but,... I find it difficult to appear in front of you after you risked your life for me... and I am grateful for that... You shouldn't have done that you know?, If something worse had happened to you, I don't think I will be able to forgive myself... " He paused to think, ' I've really become weak hearted.'
He sighed again and became quiet for a while. Finally he said, " I should leave now." He then turned around to leave but his eyes landed on Dan-bi and a few bodyguards approaching the next moment.
He was shocked but since he was in disguise and had a mask covering his lower face, he regained his composure and tried to walk past them without them noticing. He successfully walked passed them until a hand pulled at his sleeves from behind few seconds later. 'This is not good, I can't leave Country P yet.' he thought as he tried to pull away from the person's hold without turning back to check who it is, but still the person didn't let go.
"I know you don't want to be followed but you know you are not safe, right?" He heard Dan-Bi's voice coming from behind him. He was about to ask something when she replied even before he asked, " I definitely recognize you even when I am blindfolded, I know it's you, don't worry the bodyguards are gone." Until then did he turn to face her.
"Why are you here?, Shouldn't you be on the flight to Country S? Why are you looking for me, I left a note for you explaining that I can't go back now, didn't I?" He asked. He did not get why she had to come looking for him.
He did left a note with an excuse. Truthfully, he had other things he needed to do in Country P, he wouldn't let the Jin family go scot-free, and since they are the third family among the five who formed 'the Storm', and he'd compiled enough useful information about them, why not bring them down?. He wanted to do this as well as trying to stay away from Dan-Bi as much as he can. He lost himself in his own world as this thoughts ran through his head. 'Since I learned that my girlfriend broke up with me because she misunderstood my relationship with other ladies to be adulterous, I have being trying to stay away from women as much as possible. Even though she is the one who can't trust me, My decision is to stall till my revenge is done with and then win her back no matter what. The only thing I have to do is to make sure that my relationship with people doesn't give off a wrong idea. Thus, even though Choi Dan-Bi is my best friend, I have to be careful of how close we get, I don't want my girlfriend to think anything is on between us, but this Dan-bi won't just budge, even though she knows I am trying to avoid her.' that was Yo-Han's thought.
Without any clue of what's going on in Yo-Han's head, Dan-Bi replied is questions, her words had a feel of concern and compassion. "You know you are still very injured, how could I let you roam about on your own?, It's good I met you at the hospital, let's get you to see the Doctor." Dan-Bi said and pulled him along with her but he stopped her immediately and peeled off her hand from his with his free hand. "I am not here to see the doctor, don't misunderstand, I told you I had things to do right. It's just coincidental to be at the hospital... You should leave." Yo-han said coldly.
Dan-Bi felt disheartened. She lowered her head so he won't see the pain reflecting in her eyes because of his reactions to her. 'Yo-han, don't be like this to me, I want to be with you again but you're suddenly acting like a stranger.' she pleaded in her mind, hoping he could read her mind for she doesn't have the boldness to say it to abruptly yet and this is him acting distant and strange. Just yesterday he came to her suite without invitation, but now he is like this. No he's being act strange since yesterday, his words were strange right?. She just didn't understand what's going on, causing her to stutter as she uttered her next words, "I...why... Why don't you want me to stay?, Why... why are you acting strange?" As she asked her eyes began to blur from the tears forming in them.
"Dan-Bi, I am not acting strange, you should have gotten used to me this five years you've known me. I have always been like this. Leave now, Gosh, Why are you so clingy?!" He yelled at her and turned to walk out on her.
A hand tapped on his back and he stopped, fuming with anger, the air around him started getting colder and his face darkened as he got ready to lash out at Dan-Bi only for him to find someone else behind him. "Young Master?, I am Soo-Jin, the one who helped CEO Kim get you to the hospital the other time." Soo-Jin said. She seemed to have hurried over for she was breathing heavily.
Yo-han immediately calmed down and glanced over Soo-Jin's shoulder to see Dan-Bi running away to the elevator, he definitely knew she was sobbing and that he'd hurt her but he just didn't care, 'It's not the first time I'll hurt her, I have done it a billion times over the past five years so why care now?. He glanced away and returned his focus to Soo-Jin. "Oh, you're the one who helped me. I am grateful, please take care of Mr Kim, I'll be leaving now."
"Hey, wait, CEO Kim sent me to look for you since he heard you left the hospital, he wanted to see you and I was just on my way to look for you." Knowing that Yo-Han was determined to leave without seeing Kim Hyun-Jun, Soo-Jin immediately stopped him. She had been watching with her peripheral vision as Yo-han watched the man from the hallway, she waited for him to enter but he wouldn't. But the old man really wanted to see him. Kim Hyun-Jun even tried to escape like Yo-han did to find the latter earlier but she stopped him.
Yo-han shook his head and said, " No, you didn't see me here and I have returned to Country S, okay?" Yo-han said but Soo-Jin would not play along. "CEO Kim tried to escape just because he wants to find you and his wounds haven't healed yet, at this rate, he would really die for your sake without getting his greatest wish which is to see you." Soo-Jin said exaggerating the situation.
Yo-han cursed beneath his breath as he was caught in a tough spot. Soo-Jin did know how to read him, threatening him with Kim Hyun-Jun's life. If the man really died he would blame himself for it. Though he knew Kim Hyun-Jun's condition is far from death at the moment, he still could not reject it anymore, 'B*tch.' he hissed before surrendering. "Lead the way."
Inside the VIP room, Kim Hyun-Jun lied on the bed when Yo-han entered. As he laid his eyes on Yo-Han, his eyes widened, he didn't believe that it would be easy for Yo-han to accept his invitation but he was glad the boy did.
He rose to sit up but he groaned in pain due to his stomach wound. Soo-Jin had to rush to his side to help him sit up. The two men stated at each other for long. They both wanted to say something to the other but they seem to have forgotten what to say. Seeing how silent the room is, Soo-Jin broke the silence. "Yo-Han, I heard you took my brothers surname, that makes me your aunt, am I right brother?" She referred to Kim Hyun-Jun as brother.
Kim Hyun-Jun who seemed to be in a reverie reverted back and nodded to Soo-Jin, he then turned to Yo-Han. "Soo-Jin is Mit-Eum's sister from another mother. They share the same father and I have been taking care of her since Mit-Eum died fifteen years ago. I took her as my Yeo-Donseng[1]." He turned back to Soo-Jin and said, ". You probably know about the woman I was supposed to marry, Min Ju-Eun, she bore me this young man."
"Dad" Yo-han suddenly said cutting off the interaction between the siblings. The two turned to Yo-Han who stood still and they gave all their attention to him.
