Yao's Wisdom, Beginning the Curse

Standing outside for but a second we witnessed the doors opening to show Yao. She looked absolutely beautiful now as she had an elven-like complexion, flowing platinum blonde hair and perfectly smooth skin. She looked more like a princess than an actual sorceress supreme but I knew that this was definitely her.

"Little Yao... It has been a long time."

"Heh, time, a good joke for someone of your age."

Her response blew me back a little as she usually acted very old. I hadn't seen her like this since she was twenty back in the 1700's. My reactions seemed to get a chuckle out of her. Before I could respond however she quickly turned and beckoned us in. I stepped in and felt Fleur grab the edge of my denim shorts as she too followed.

The inside of the house at first looked quaint and had a witch doctor feel to them, but this quickly shifted as the house seemed to transition through time to a warm, cosy and much larger house. I remembered this house, this was her master's house... I didn't even have words for the sheer power required to accomplish this, it seemed Yao had been taking to her High Human power of late.

"Please sit." Instantly we were sitting down at a coffee table where hot steaming tea and a cold beer were sitting on the table. I took the beer casually as Fleur looked at the massive difference in power with utter shock. I too was a little blown away but my experiences helped me weather the blows. 

'If this is the power of her master and she is more powerful, what level of power have I married myself to?' Yao looked at me with a large smile stretching across her face, like a smug middle aged person who was showing off their stuff to their family. I cringed in my mind at the thought of being considered this woman's aunt but I made sure none of that was transmitted.

"Emelia's power is much higher than mine. I am now currently in the power level of Gods, specifically God Kings. She however, well, she is a being that could create entire multiverses in her mind let alone in reality. I don't know how you all do not know, i have some ideas, but, let's just say that if I were to verse her with my current power I would die. No, not even that, I would cease to exist. She can will me away with but a thought."

I had a hard time digesting that as all i had wanted in the past was to get to Yao's current level of power, to be considered a god. Now? My wife was a being that could be a true omnipotent being and I was currently going to reach my goal, it all seemed so inconsequential now, what was the point?

Fleur was just staring at us and felt utterly confused as to the sudden topic. Yao smiled at me and then to Fleur, taking a sip of her tea as she dazedly looked off into the distance. Green smattered across her eyes as slowly her face turned serious.

"Your power will be needed Selene, Emelia hides a great deal from you all to protect you all from danger." My anger started to rise at being told that we were all being lied to but she quickly locked eyes with me and mentally slapped me. "I said, from danger, imbecile. She is contending with beings so beyond your comprehension of power that you would be like an amoeba floating in the ocean, your existence easy to vanquish with their actions."

I froze at that as Fleur looked super serious, this being the fist time seeing this side of her I blinked my eyes and tried to understand. I failed. Fleur was looking down at the ground, some thoughts moving in her eyes as she then firmly looked up and bowed to Yao.

"Please take me as a student. I cannot allow myself to be weak whilst my partner takes all the risks!" Yao looked at her and nodded, the green flashing in her eyes more as she turned back to me.

"Yes, once we are done with the curse you will stay here with me for a time. Selene, you shall then go to help The director of Shield and Captain America... They will need the help." I looked at her quizzically but decided not to speak on the topic, when time was involved it was never a good day. She nodded and smiled soon after in an attempt to lighten the mood.

"Now, let's go find a curse, shall we?"

A day later i was buried underneath several stacks of books as Yao came over and placed more. We had been searching for a specific curse for an entire day now. I didn't need sleep so it was worse for me, Fleur on the other hand was sleeping with her head resting on a desk. 

I was close to going berserk, this shit did not suit me at all and was making me want to tear Yao's throat out. I tried to breath myself out of the thoughts, but, like snakes they just slithered back underneath a gap in the door of my mind.

"I found it." This simple line of words caused me to bound upwards to my feet as the books clattered to the ground behind me. I hastily walked over to the book Yao was holding and began to inspect it, anything was better than drowning in books. The commotion had woken Fleur but she quickly snapped out of her morning fog and joined me in observing the contents.

The spell itself was a simple power curse, however, it targeted specific powers based on specific signatures and names. It was the perfect spell and would allow me to efficiently kill them all, at least kill them all long enough for me to kill them truly.

"This is what we need. The spell itself won't give them a true death, but it will weaken them for long enough that I should be able to vanquish each of them and consume their powers." Fleur looked at me in worry before steeling her resolve as Yao looked at her in amazement, interest and intrigue flashing through her facial expressions.

"What if we used that same curse to transport them to a rune on the ground? Using the foundation of apparating and protection charms we could easily contain them."

"Very well thought out. Now, those particular methods are rudimentary at best but with me here I can add in some dimensional anchoring, bloodline locking, spatial lockdown, time halts and other things. Selene, do you have the power to kill them all at one moment?"

I considered her words and ultimately shook my head, I had planned on originally killing them individually as the curse nullified their powers for a time. Yao looked at me in understanding before creating a small portal to Kamar-Taj's treasury room and yanking something from one of the shelves, a treasure i was all too familiar with.

"This is my master's daggers, they were superbly powerful magical artefacts that could even damage Mephisto in his prime. Please use these to kill them." I took the daggers carefully and reminisced about the time in the 1000's that Callisto had originally made these daggers and told me of their future purpose, i had laughed back then and now it was the only thing at hand to help me achieve my life's goal.

I looked up at Yao with happiness and humility as she simply chuckled lightly into her hand before clapping her hands to stop the awkward atmosphere.

"Come now, we have a curse to make, trap to erect and some Immortals to vanquish."
