ch. 5 first blood

(AN: I already have a love interest for Naruto and she's an oc. If you want a harem than too bad, at most Naruto will have two girls but I'm leaning more on just the one.)

Blanking his face Naruto stared down coldly at the bandits beneath him. 'Now for phase one.' He thought while looking down at the paroling bandit group that held one of the Chuunin. Pulling out a rock he grabbed earlier and summoning a clone before sending it away he waited till the patrol group was closer than tossed the rock away.

"Hear that?" Asked one of the bandits.

"Ya you two check it out." The chiming ordered.

As the two bandits moved into the bushes while tensing and ready for an ambush. After a few tense moments one of the bandits laughed while the other just sighed. "Don't worry boss it's just a rabbit." The bandit who sighed spoke.

After the bandit spoke the two bandits came back out while the one who laughed was carrying a rabbit by the ears. "I'm having rabbit tonight I guess."

Rolling his eyes the chunin was about to speak but suddenly his senses flared and he drew a kunai. As he did a faint golden glow wrapped around the area the bandit patrol was in.

*clang*

Turning the chunin froze upon seeing the two crimson eyes staring back at him. He felt as if the world was falling apart, his body locked up. 'Shit genju…' he didn't even get to finish that thought before another kunai was lodged into his throat. Simultaneously three other Naruto's each delt with their respective bandit. The rabbit from earlier turned into another Naruto who quickly snapped the neck of the bandit who was holding him.

"Huh well that was easy." Naruto mumbled while looking around wearily. "It's never that easy." He spoke to himself while waiting for something to happen.

Seeing this the fox within his mind just laughed. 'Hahaha don't worry boy, not every mission includes saving a country or encountering jonin and S-ranked criminals.'

Hearing that Naruto winced 'ya I know but…'

'Bah just count yourself lucky, also using a silencing barrier, and my killing intent mixed with chakra to induce a Genjutsu like affect was smart.' The kyuubi complemented.

'Ah thanks.' Naruto replied bashfully while creating more clones and ordering four of his clones to transform into the dead bandits while he transformed into the dead chunin. "Alright now you two get close to the other chunin and draw them away, I'll deal with the one near the captives. The rest of you get ready to use Justus to take out the normal bandits and distract the chunin."

After saying his piece Naruto took off for his target trusting his clones to do the rest till he could take out the remaining chunin. Arising near the female chunin Naruto adjusted his transformation so he looked injured and disheveled. Taking a breath he stumbled out into the open getting the woman's as well as the two other bandits attention. "Moru that you what happened?" The woman asked as she got on guard and ordered the bandits to help Naruto up.

Naruto faked a cough and spoke in a raspy voice mimicking the dead chunins. "Clo…ser…my….th…roat."

Nodding the woman got closer as she kept her eyes on the tree line watching for enemy's, she also laid a hand on Naruto and pinched. "Good your not a fake, now what happened." She mumbled relaxing a little but still staying vigilant.

"Shinobi, ANBU." Naruto whispered making the woman look at the transformed Naruto with wide eyes filled with horror before her eyes shot to the tree line in fear.

Seeing the woman and bandits completely focused on the tree line Naruto made his move. "Shit come on we gotta raise the alar…"

*gurgle*

*Thud, thud, thud*

Sighing Naruto looked at the three dead bodies next to him before looking at his bloodied hands. His eyes grew shaky as they lost the crimson hue, but before he could break down an explosion went off that woke Naruto up as his head snapped in the main camp's direction. 'Not yet still got work to do.' He thought signaling a few clones that were transformed into Konoha kunoichi to come out from the tree line and head for the captives. Seeing the fearful and hopeless gazes of the woman and children reigniting his determination his eyes gained their crimson hue as he headed for his next target.

Ariving in the middle of the camp Narutos sight was greeted with absolute chaos. Naruto's clones would transform into a dead bandit, kill another than transform into that bandit and carry on causing discontent in the bandit ranks while other clones were firing off fire and wind Justus driving the two chunin in different ways while a few other clones were using the rasengan to thin the herd.

Narrowing his eyes he took in the sight of the two chunin one was using Justus to hold off the clones while the other was using Taijutsu along with kunai. Creating a few "special" clones Naruto sent them to deal with the taijutsu specialist while he headed towards the other chunin.

"Dammit how many clones can this fucker make!" The ninjutsu specialist screamed in frustration as he sent a few rock spears at a crowd of clones.

Smirking Naruto recalled one of Jiraiya's lessons. 'Remember Naruto when faceing a ninjutsu specialist get in their face and don't give them time to form hand seals and use their Justus, hit them hard and fast.'

Keeping that lesson in mind Naruto waited for an opportunity. An opportunity that came from the chunin taking a second to wipe the sweat out of his eye. Acting fast Naruto used a body flicker to appear next to the chunin while sending a knee to his kidney due to not having the proper opening for a kunai. Following up with a hard punch to the chunins armpit, than his chest aiming for his outer ribcage. Feeling the rib bone give way and impale the ninjas lung Naruto twisted landing a roundhouse kick onto the back of the chunins caff. Watching the chunin kneel in pain Naruto wasted no time plunging a kunai in the back of the man's skull.

*with the other chunin*

"Dammit where are the others!" The man roared as he batted a few other clones away. "Come out you coward I can deal with these clones all day!" He taunted

"Oh really than maybe I should join." Another Naruto replied from his place next to three other clones while standing across from the rouge chunin.

"Oh so you finally came out kid. After I break your limbs I'm going to fuck you till your mind gives way!" He screamed before charging at Naruto and the three clones in a blind rage.

Seeing that Naruto sighed in disgust. 'Damm what an idiot.' The clone thought as the chunin stabbed him and the clone next to him, but not saying anything to bring back the chunins sanity the clones all swelled with fire chakra before going up in a firery explosion.

*twenty minutes later*

Naruto sat on a log staring blankly at his blood soaked hands. He barely registered the clones transformed into kunoichi's along with yugao herself comforting the ex-captives, nor did he really register jiraiya walking up to him and taking a seat next to him. "I…I killed em…and it felt…satisfying to rid the world of them….but I also feel so…so guilty for taking their lives, how…how do you deal with it." Naruto whispered in a cracked and horse voice.

Letting out a sigh jiraiya used his hand to make Naruto look at him and spoke "I remember what I'm fighting for, who I'm fighting for, and what would happen if I let them live. Think about it if you didn't kill these bandits than how many more villages would suffer before another Shinobi comes and finished that job. The same applies for any mission and especially during war. Let's use your father as an example, he used the Hiraishin to kill a little over 1000 shinobi's within seconds, he created a massacre in order to stop the war with iwa, and save more lives, for if the war continued with them than a lot more than 1000 lives would have ended."

Seeing he was getting through to Naruto jiraiya continued. "In the shinobi world it's not how you live, it's what you leave behind that people remember you by. Tell me do you want to be remembered as the shinobi who couldn't get over his own guilt and wither into a coward, or do you want to be remembered as Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze the man who single-handedly changed the world." Finishing his speech jiraiya smiled squeezed Naruto's shoulder than took out a book. "But if it ever gets to much than you need a vise everyone has one or two, I write books, do research, and travel, Tsunade-Hime drinks, Kakashi reads, Asuma, and Sarutobi-sensei smoked, and Guy goes on about youth. So here take this and let your mind wonder for a bit let yourself digest what I said and relax. Were heading out in the morning to take the women and children to the nearest village." After saying his peace jiraiya stood up and left.

Looking down Naruto read out "itcha-itcha paradise." Before opening the book and thinking over what jiraiya said.
