chapter 5

Ding!

The sound of elevator rang as I walked out of it.

I just finished reading information that I needed to not look like some country bumpkin that just saw the city for the first time.

And I also found a useful way to use my clone.

That was using all seven of my clones to read at the same time and the information will be transferred to me.

That's why I finished reading already

Otherwise it would take me a day before I finish what I just read with my clones

"Hey!"

Just as I was lost in thought I suddenly heard a familiar voice call out ot me.

And when I looked over I saw that it was the three peaple that was with us at the truck.

The guy with the spear was the one that called me

He was waving his hand while walking towards me.

"Hey you new here?"

I just nodded at he's question

"Wanna join our team?"

He said while pointing at he's back with he's thumb towards the two of he's teammates

"What for?"

I said

"We're going to a low rank dungeon but we're missing in numbers sa we had to invite more peaple in"

He said while directing he's gaze behind me

'invite more peaple in'

I thought as I looked where he was looking

Then it dawned on me

he was looking at my clones!

"Alright"

I said looking back at him

"Alright let's go"

He said as he started walking towards hes teammates with us following him

--1 hour later--

"Huff!"

I breath in the fresh air as I walked out of the truck.

It only took one hour thanks to the truck they had.

Now we're in the middle of a jungle.

"So where's the dungeon?"

"Puchi!"

As I was about to turn around I felt an uncomfortable feeling in my chest.

When I looked down i saw the cost of it.

A spear glistening with blood had pierced through my chest

"Swoosh swoosh swoosh swoosh"

At the same time as the spear pierced through my chest I could hear the sound of something flying through the air

"Puchi"

"Puchi"

"Puchi"

"Puchi"

Four arrow flew past me and hit the four clones in front of me in the head

"Thud"

"Thud"

"Thud"

"Thud"

At the same time as the body of my four clone fell. The spear that pierced through my chest was retracted.

"Swish"

The sound of air being torn apart could be heard from behind me

And the head of two of my clone flew in front of me rolling away from me.

I looked at rolling heads of the two of my clone in a daze and then I looked back

When I looked back. I saw that beside the two headless clone were another two of my clone lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Their head smashed

Standing beside the smashed body of the two of my clones were the guy with the big metal shield. Behind him were the guy with the bow.

And standing right behind me were the guy with the spear.

It all happened witthin three seconds

I was still standing on my feet with a hole on my chest gushing out blood

"W- why"

I asked with a trembling voice

Fear creeping in on me as my mind was in a mess due to blood loss

"Why? Nothing much just teaching some newbies a valuable lesson.

But it doesn't look like you can put it to good use~"

He said in a playful voice

As he started to swung he's spear towards my neck

Although I was in a daze I still managed to come to my sense when he was talking and tried to sneakily pull my hand gun

But it looks like he saw what I was doing and swung he's spear intending to behead me

But that doesn't matter I already pulled my gun and already pointed it at him.

"Bang"

"Bang"

"Bang"

"Bang"

I shot him four times

Because I don't have time to aim I only managed to shoot him in the chest

But doesn't matter.

'its four bullets he will surely di-'

My thoughts were cut off as my head was sent flying through the air

My mind was in a daze at that moment

"Thud!"

As soon as my head hit the ground I came to my senses

I can see my body still standing holding a gun in a shooting position.

The guy with the spear was completely fine and manage to finish the swing of he's spear

As I was looking at him I spotted something shinning in he's chest

'thats'

It was a midieval iron armor

"Thud"

As my headless body fell I started to lose conseusnes.

In the middle of a forest a figure could be seen. On top of a tree with a bunch of leaves,bark and mud on him as a camouflage.

Suddenly the figure started slightly trembling and then it stopped.

"So that's how I can choose who I can posses"

I said to myself in a whisper.

I was currently in the body of one of the clone I left to hide in the forest before I left the village that I saved.

This clone choose to hide on top of a tree. It rolled around on the mud so that it's black uniform can blend more in the surroundings.

And then picked up the fallen branches on the ground and the bark on the trees and some fresh branches as a camouflage

It's been in this position since I left it

The other clone however choose a rather strange way to hide. He choosed to hide underground.

Not just any underground

He didn't use an underground cave or a naturally formed hole on the ground.

Instead he dug an underground base or a coffin to be presice. With the clone I was currently possessing.

And then they reinforced the inside with sticks and rocks they found and then the other clone went inside the hole and the clone I was possessing sealed up the only entrance and hid it with grass and leaves

'they have good minds unlike me'

I thought to myself

' I can't believe I fell for that. We didn't even discuss the distribution of loot and I already agreed I was so naive I wish I could kill my past self'

I thought to myself

"Huff"

I breath in the fresh air again to calm my mind

' there's no point crying over spilled milk

Atleast I'm still alive. Thankfully I left some clones. I was so scared earlier that I forgot that I can get revived'

I thought to myself

"For now let's accumulate some power before going out"
