After finding out about Nathan and his unprecedented prowess, Richard was tempted to meet with him. He had hoped to make a connection with Nathan during the fourth trial before officially making his intentions known to the brilliant mechanic.

Unfortunately, a certain piece of news caused him to revise his plans and settle for a different person. After finding out that Elena had already decided on the matter a long time ago and was subtly hinting at making Nathan the Vice Herald of Red Wing Thunder, Richard could just about make out the fact that she would not be willing to let such a talent go.

She had a sharp eye and securing such an important person would indeed help her future endeavors.

Faced with such a negative, Richard searched for other hidden gems to be unearthed, those that he could rope over to the faction of the Stark Family to serve under him, unfortunately, people like Nathan were not easy to find.
