Johnathon's P.O.V

when crescent returns with the news she took off with Hermes I was angry. those damn gods would never cut me a break. sitting in my expanse of a study that was now destroyed I seethed. she was suppose to be mine! I didn't care that I had killed the people who "took care of me" they deserved it as far as I was concerned. Zeus would never take my side though. as far as he saw I did the sin and therefore was unworthy and deemed as another failure of my kind. the first of my kind was Ravenna's great great grandfather who ended up ending his life due to the loss of his wife.

I sighed rubbing the bridge of my nose. if she was in Olympus now, I needed a strategy to get her to come with me. chasing her would only frighten her, though that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing...she should've known I was her soulmate and she would indeed need to be punished for this act and the act of fleeing before the rise of dawn to be brought here. deep in my thoughts I didn't notice Jason entered my study until he whistled looking around at all the damage I had caused.

"I take it she flew again?" he asked innocently enough even though I knew he was far from the word. his light brown hair was tied at the back of his neck ending right between his broad shoulders. his five foot ten stature and evenly toned body shape made him pleasing on the eyes. a square jaw, thin lips and straight nose sculpture worthy. the only oddity one would find would be his one red and one green eyes that seemed to attract more attention then his youthful personality. I ended up nodding my head with my teeth clenched hard enough to break my jaw.

he sighed and started picking up the wood pieces that use to be my desk. "leave it." I stated and walked out to the patio. with a huff he dropped what he had in his arms and walked over to me. Jason was my best friend and second in command. every time I let my temper loose her was there to fix me up and make me better but this time...this time I don't believe I would be better. the gods have her now and there would be no way of getting her back to me. lighting a cigar I puffed on it lightly and breathed it out watching as the smoke rose steadily into the air.

"what are you doing to do now Johnathon? we can lay a trap for her but we would need to chase her into the trap." he spoke softly knowing I could loose my temper at a drop of a hat. I shook my head. she's clever and she seemed to know exactly what was going on before I even did it. to evade Crescent for as long as she had was a feat in itself. truthfully I believe she never would have been found unless she wanted to be. she was a challenge and one that I wanted to conquer already. two weeks had been long enough but now...now it would be close to impossible with those gods around her.

"how do you propose we catch a bird who has made a new nest with stronger more powerful birds?" I asked Jason offhand but desperately needing an answer to. he put a slender hand to his chin in deep thought taking my question seriously.

"I would normally propose we lay a trap at said nest and lay in wait but based on this situation, we would need to draw out the little bird and act quickly if we want to keep the said bigger birds away." he spoke while still thinking. he was right in a way. we would need to draw her out but everything I had here didn't seem to be doing the trick. not that I was surprised. her relatives were real scum in her eyes. so what could I draw her out with? both of us were lost deep in our thoughts as the new dawn broke over the horizon. finally looking at Jason I decided we needed to go to sleep. maybe sleep would help us on our endeavor to get Ravenna where she belongs. not as some goddess but as a housewife. turning after telling him to rest I went to what was suppose to be our room.

I could just imagine her later in our immortal life making me food, cleaning our mansion, barefoot and pregnant with our children who I would take and train to be just like me and hide them from her sense she would only corrupt them. of course sense she has the tendency to run I would have to keep her chained up. perhaps I should collar her? regardless of being my soulmate she is a bitch just like any dog. I now understand why her relatives were so harsh to her with their beatings and degrading remarks. she was disobedient, reckless and never seemed to learn her lesson. I would be sure to instil that lesson in her.

she thought she was hurt before but no, that was nothing compared to me. I would teach her a new kind of pain that would make even her cousin blush with the cruelty of it and her dear mother die repeatedly. I wasn't the bloody king for nothing. a smile forming on my lips of exactly how I would teach her how to be a proper soulmate and crush the gleam that I once thought beautiful in those violet eyes. yes. I would need to do all of those things but I needed to catch the fluttering bird first.

laying down in our bed with my thoughts I drifted off to sleep dreaming of all the ways I would turn her innocence to dust. she wouldnt need it anyway. I would rather her be dead inside and feel nothing then think she has the power to be one with the gods of Olympus. only I can hold that power and I will make sure Zeus knows this by the time I am through with Ravenna. I could imagine all the gods begging for my mercy at having taken her away from me. it would be good to have them on their knees before me. I would crown myself king if the gods. yes, this would do just fine. I Johnathon Hawthorn first of my name and king on the gods. perfect ring to it.
