Chapter 26

Raina was waiting for them outside when they finally arrived. She rushed to hug Darryl before finally going over to Leroy’s side to help him with the files in his hand. Leroy just looked on in amusement as Darryl took what she was holding and held it for her.

‘You two never cease to amuse and amaze me. Let me take the files and leave you to enjoy the cool night breeze.’ Darryl promptly handed the files over and they both watched as Leroy went indoors.

‘It’s good to be with you again. I missed you.’

‘I miss you too. I wanted us to have a conversation. Come, let’s sit here.’ Darryl led her gently to a summer hut in the garden where they both sat down.

‘You know I love you very much, don’t you? I know you worry that we have not been intimate and that means that I don’t want to be with you in that way but that is far from the truth.’

Raina blushed slightly at his words and the intensity of his gaze.
