Chapter 6: I thought it was a dream (6)

Faysion, who had been watching them talk for an hour, opened his mouth for the first time to ask why.

"I am against it. I think we need to hear it directly."

Heliciad rarely gave such a serious opinion, Mahoren stood next to her proudly but was contemplating on whether or not to express his opinion. Shang-Lodihara looked around and burst into laughter.

"I guess you don't get it, if that person was the type to talk out loud in the first place, then coming here and dying alone wouldn't be the plan."

"Well, this is my specialty, so I'll look into it. Just letting you know."

How the hell did the human grow up to be such an expressionless one? There had to be some reason. Heliciad, who was carefully looking at Shang-Lodihara, gradually narrowed her eyes and asked, "You will tell us what you find right?"

"Well~what should I do?"

As Shang-Lodihara smiled languidly, killing her innocent face in an instant with a sly smile.

"Information monopoly is bad! We have the right to know!"

"Well, I will think about it."

Well, she too was curious about the results of the investigation.

'Then, where should I get the information from?'

She turned away and smiled at the thought.

It was a crazy day.

"Any plan on what you are going to do from now?"

"A trip?"

"Wouldn't it be nice to relax at a resort?"

Heli shook her head from side to side, and Juli with no expression on his face just answered.

"It's not easy. And from what I know, everyone here is of the same age, and come to think of it, I don't think it's needed to use formal speech."

"Aren't you a noble?"

"That is true, but I don't really have such a position, I'm the same as others, so… don't worry and speak comfortably."

They all smiled saying they would, but then their expressions changed.

"Hmm… ah! As I said before, let's go on a trip!"

They were in an urgency to change the conversation, and I decided to just go along.

"Is there anywhere you want to go?"

Heliciad raised her hand and shouted.

"If it is travel, then how about going to 'Bistrea', which is in the eastern continent as a travel destination? There is so much to see and enjoy!"

"There are places famous for handsome men and beauties too. Right?"

Faysion smiled gracefully as he looked at Heli. It was for sure a beautiful smile, but was I the only one who found it scary? The aura around which seemed like he was sneering.

"What are you all doing without me? Bistrea?"

The door opened with Shang-di coming in. With a polite smile, she glanced over all the four of us before looking at Heli.

"You want to go there? But what do we do~everyone there is so huge!"

And Heli only heard the word 'huge'.

"My-my dream is…!!"

What dream was she talking about… forget it, I didn't want to know.

"But the way Al, what is this?"

Shang-di looked around again and picked up something which was near the luggage bag. The moment I saw the white letter envelope with a golden border, I sighed.

I had completely forgotten about that.

I was so focused on everything else that I forgot about it.

"Hm, let's see. Oh my, this! This looks like an 'Appointment letter'? sending you to the 2nd unit of Cheiva embassy in Bishatsur…. Wow! This is what they call an official notice right?"

"Official? Well, working at an embassy is surely amazing, but is the 2nd unit right? I don't know about unit 1, but I know that the 2nd unit is a place where discarded ones are gathered, or something like that."

Although the knights are famous in other nations as representatives of armed groups of the nation, however, things are different in armed group Cheiva, my home nation. There a group called 'Wyndham', a special class group which is the face of the nation and a place where only the elite gather.

The 1st unit helps 'Wyndham' with the investigations outside the nation and takes responsibility for diplomacy. And the 2nd unit is called to be messengers for the 1st unit. It wasn't a fast moving unit, and only used when the other unit needed it.

And despite effort, that was all.

"So what about it?"

"Huh?"

The white paper was held in white envelope, and a pale hand opened the flap. I blankly looked at Shang-di who smiled brightly as she opened up the envelope.

"Isn't this a good thing? Since this isn't the main department, it will be leisurely and the paycheck will be sent regularly. On the other hand, since it is a public oriented company, the working environment is good, not to mention welfare. In a nutshell, you can have fun, get paid and everything is guaranteed, so why are you delaying it? Have you lost it, Al?"

"Shang-di is right. What are you doing leaving a post like this!?"

Gradually, the conversation changed.

"No way, you aren't saying what I think you are saying right?"

"There is such a thing. When something comes people should catch it."

Was it because of how the conversation went? There was a subtle hint of teasing in the gloomy air. I'm normally sensitive. Juli nodded his head and left the room right away.

"I am going to pack."

"Wait! Are you planning on following me there?!"

I shouted loud, making the others turn their eyes at me.

"Isn't that obvious?"

'Shit!!'

"No, I don't think that can happen. Excuse me, but no!"

I think even the despair I was feeling in my heart was showing in my voice. It was the first time I've been clinging to something since I was young.

So please, please listen to me this one time!

"Please, can't you just put me to sleep permanently?! Declare, I will do anything!! So just put me to sleep! You can lock me in a safeplace or if that doesn't work, put me in some space!"

"…"

",,, gosh…"

"… I don't know, but it sounds difficult."

"… this is tough."

Pay, Shang-di, Heli and Ren said small words at each time. After that, I shouted once more and they all went silent.

"Eternal sleep!"

"What are you speaking! You are here for us! Do I have to say such things with my own mouth!"

Juli, who literally thought he had come all prepared to leave, stood behind the four people looking drained! With a sound, he left his bag on the floor and shouted in a loud voice.
