I Have Time Manipulation Ability in Another World!
I was mindlessly scrolling through KitKot, the endless stream of short, catchy videos serving as my dinner entertainment.
I was halfway through a particularly intriguing one when a rogue piece of my meal went down the wrong pipe.
Panic set in as I began to choke, my breaths coming in erratic, wheezing gasps. Desperately, I tried reaching out for my glass of water, which felt miles away.
But then, oh dear, a rogue bolt of lightning, zigzagging like it had been sipping one too many espressos, whizzed towards me. How? Well, apparently, my window was the VIP entrance, unbeknownst to me.
No knock, no polite "Excuse me, sir, may I come in?" Just "ZAP!" and the thing sizzled through the gap in the window like an electrified snake as if it had GPS to track me.
It was like the skies had scrolled through their contact list and went, "Oops, wrong number!" and instead of hitting a tree, decided, "Let’s go for this guy inside their house!"
The shock was instantaneous, a violent surge that coursed through my veins and overwhelmed my senses - and then darkness.
I'm not sure how long that darkness lasted, but when I awoke, the very fabric of reality seemed altered.
No longer was I in my familiar surroundings, my eyes opened to a world unfamiliar, yet oddly vibrant.
The nature that surrounded me was lush and teeming with life, unlike any earthly forest I had ever seen.
In those first bewildering moments, I touched the ground beneath me, half expecting to dissipate like a dream upon waking.
But the soil was real, grounding me in this unexpected reality. I was alive, against all logic, breathing in a world that shouldn't exist.
This was a second chance, an otherworldly beginning birthed from an accidental tragedy!
