Chapter 39 - Everything Increased

Zoan's were a different type of devil fruit as they changed your body into that of an animal. Once you start to master the power, you'd be able to change various parts of your body into that said animal. As a Zoan devil fruit user, you'd gain the power equal to that of what animal it was. However, there was a catch, as there was multiple forms to Zoan users. They had two at the start, which was human and full on beast transformation. They could also acquire different forms as long as they continued to train their ability.

While Zoan's aren't the rarest, there were sub categories within this type. Such as ancient and mythological. If you were able to obtain the power of one of these, then you'd be far superior to an ordinary Zoan user.

At the moment, Bob wasn't thinking about any of that. The pain going through his body was intense, he assumed it was due to his first time transforming.

Bob could hear his body's crack, his skin crawl and even his eyesight started to change.

Bob released a beastly roar as his transformation finished.

Bob started touching and looking over his body.

His height reached 3 meters, his arms and legs were covered in white scales. They had a hint of blue shining off of them. Bob had a long scaly tail coming out from his backside. His nails were now claws, and when he touched his face he noticed he had two horns.

Just from looking over his body and from the parts he could see, Bob knew what he turned into.

In his past life, he read about them. They were creatures that had an almost endless lifespan, their strength was unparalleled, and they could unleash deadly attacks.

Bob was a dragon! From his looks he could tell it was no normal dragon. Some sort of dragon allied with snow.

The cold that he felt before vanished, instead he felt as if he was warm.

While Bob was interested in his new transformation, his body quickly turned back to normal.

Bob heard something in his head, and knew it was the system. It was the first time that it talked to him. Bob nodded.

Kuraokami? Bob's never heard of such a thing, but he also wasn't japanese.

Bob sighed as he looked at his clothes, they were torn all over! How could he go in public looking like this?

Bob turned around and headed straight back to his ship.

There were few pieces of clothing left on Bob, but he still didn't feel cold.

"Cold resistance, check."

Bob knew that obtaining a Zoan type of devil fruit, his powers would increase even in his normal form.

Bob put strength into his legs and pushed off the ground.

"Increased speed, check."

Bob was going to check other features, but he needed time to check it out later.

Before he knew it, he was back at his ship.

"What the hell happened to you?"

Jacob asked Bob when he saw his torn clothes.

"Transformation, decided to eat a devil fruit."

Bob said as he went to his room.

He quickly changed clothes and came out.

In his hand was a new mask, similar to the one he wore before.

"You know, you guys don't have to stay on the ship the entire time right."

"Yeah, but it's more relaxing here on the ship. Me and the others already started designing the new ship. Once we reach Water 7, you'll be surprised."

"Oh? I'll look forward to it then."

Hearing Bob's words, Jacob grinned.

The ship he was coming up with was special, probably the first of its kind.

"Contact the John and Ron, tell them if they come across any devil fruit to collect it."

Jacob nodded his head.

Bob left the ship and headed back to town, where he found Dalton sparring with Hassan.

Hassan was being overpowered, but he was using his speed to his advantage to dodge a few blows.

Dalton caught Hassan off guard and swung his spade causing it to hit Hassan's side. Hassan was sent flying.

"You dropped your guard when you thought you were safe."

Dalton said.

Bob looked at Hassan and noticed the wounds on his body, he threw a Grand Blessing on him to heal him.

Bob was surprised, the effect of Grand Blessing seemed to increase.

'Could it be because of the devil fruit?'

Bob asked himself.

Bob opened his status window to see what was different.

Ascendance S - Increase Attack speed by 5% every time you attack (Stackable 5)

Active:

Radiant Illusion - Summon an illusion of yourself that slays your enemy reducing their resistances.

Grand Blessing - Heal yourself or an ally while also granting a burst of movement speed.

Spellblade - Imbue your blade with holy light, increasing the damage done by 10%. Melee attacks become ranged.

Judgement - Become Immune to all damage and status for 3 second.

Bob sucked in a breath of cold air.

All his base stats went up by hundred, and it was still increasing! Even his health increased.

Bob wondered how strong he would be after everything was analyzed. And if his stats were increasing this much just due to the devil fruit, how strong were the others?

Bob did not know it, but others weren't the same as him when they ate a devil fruit. He was only obtaining so many stats because of the Kuraokami, it was superior to others in many ways. Thus all his stats increased.

If a person ate a devil fruit that allowed them to turn into an ox, they'd have an increase in health, damage and a minor increase in armor.

The increase in stats depended on what type was consumed.

For Bob, this could be considered a blessing.
