Kayleb regained consciousness and opened his eyes. He was a bit weak though but was able to sit up and rest his back on a pillow. He then wondered where he was. He looked around and realized that he was in Smart's Lab Medical Faculty. Presh then walked into the room;

Presh: You are finally awake!

Kayleb: Presh! What are you doing here? And how long was I out?

Presh: Well you were brought here the night the mercury oven malfunctioned and exploded

Kayleb: Oh yeah! I remember that now, but I don't remember what happened afterwards

Dr Smart: (Entering the room with Ali) you were in a Coma for six weeks

Kayleb: What, six weeks?! That's like almost two months

Ali: Yeah bro, I am just glad you have finally woken up. You had us worried there

Kayleb: What happened? I mean the night the mercury oven exploded

Dr Smart: That night, Ali rushed you here to the medical facility because you were in a critical state. He then called me, some Physicians and Presh to come over and attend to you immediately. While trying to revive you from youunconscious

state, we realized that your body was moving at a very high velocity as if your entire cells were vibrating. It was difficult to stabilize you but we managed in the end. The mercury oven exploded and sent out a wave of intense energy throughout

Sterling city. It later came to our notice that the wave was mixed with Ali's "ISEC" and this affected the people in the city

greatly. People started developing abilities which was mesmerizing

Kayleb: What do you mean by people started developing abilities?

Ali: Well the "ISEC" mixed with the Intense Energy from the wave affected some people in various ways. The energy caused peoples cells to vibrate rapidly therefore allowing the "ISEC" to infuse with peoples immune system

Kayleb: No way!

Presh: Yes and everyone in Sterling city was affected but not everyone started developing weird abilities. Some people now have super skills depending on what element fused alongside the "ISEC" in their immune system which allowed mutation in people's genetic structure

Kayleb: So let me get this straight. You are trying to say that some people in Sterling city are now Super humans with special abilities?

Presh: Affirmative and I think you are one too

Kayleb: What!

Presh: Though it's just a thought but the way your immune system healed you up rapidly and swiftly is beyond my comprehension. And since you were the closest to the machine, I thought.....

Kayleb: (Interrupting) No way! I don't feel any different from before so I doubt if I am a Super human too

Presh: You might be right but I still need you to take lots of rest and have your prescribed medicine on time

Kayleb: Thank you Presh

Presh: You are most welcome

Presh then headed out of the room with Dr Smart and left Ali with Kayleb behind;

Kayleb: We never saw any of this coming huh?!

Ali: Yeah, you are right. And I feel it is entirely my fault

Kayleb: What are you saying? It is both our fault

Ali: Still a lot of things have changed in the past month. Many people now resent us because of what we did to them, some

employees in Smart's lab resigned; making it more difficult to

manage around here and serious crimes have now been taken place daily which is too much for the police force to handle

Kayleb: Were you affected by the wave too? I mean do you feel different?

Ali: (Laughing) you mean am I a Super human too? Of course not. In fact, nobody working here or use to work here is a super human

Kayleb: Well in that case I have to get back to work

As Kayleb said this, he jumped down from the bed immediately;

Ali: Wow. You can walk already?

Kayleb: Why wouldn't I be able to?!

Ali: Am just saying that you were extremely weak moments ago but now you are perfectly fine

Kayleb: Exactly! I am alright so come on, let's head to the office

Kayleb and Ali then headed to the fourth floor where their office was. On the way, Kayleb noticed that part of the building is been reconstructed and he figured it might have been due to the mercury oven exploding. On getting to the office, the hinge of the door got loose and was about to fall on Ali's head. But before the door fell, Kayleb moved swiftly with the speed of light and saved Ali;

Ali:《Astonished》But you were over there a minute ago, how did you get here so fast?

Kayleb: I don't know. Everything began to look so slow to me and I saw the door falling so I just ran to save you!

Ali and Kayleb then headed to Presh's office to get more answers. In there, she confirmed that Kayleb was a super human too. He had sucked in lots of energy from the mercury oven {being the closest to it} and this developed his hyper motility tenfold giving him super speed. Kayleb didn't know how to react to this news. He was in a state of happiness and shock at the same time. Just then, it was said in the news that a building in Sterling city (in an estate not far from Smarts Lab), was set at blaze due to another super human attack and Kayleb made up his mind in rescuing the people that were still inside the building. He got a black mask quickly from his office and zoomed out of Smarts lab, to the location of the burning building. One after the other, he ran back and forth bringing everyone left in the building outside; instantly and saving them. The fire department then arrived and started extinguishing the fire. Meanwhile the journalist who witnessed

everything and recorded Kayleb; asked him what his name was and why he concealed his identity. Kayleb then spoke up on the news;

Kayleb: My name is QuickBae and I will be the new hero of Sterling city. My Identity must be kept secret and if I am to protect you citizens from super human's like me, it means I have to always be behind a mask. I am sure you all know that there are others out there who are just like me and some are misusing their new abilities, but I want you to know that not every super human is like them. I vow to help protect this city from any further chaos in the future. Thank you!

As Kayleb said this, he swooshed out of the place after broadcasting nationally that he was Sterling city's new hero. He

got back to the lab and met Ali, Presh and Dr Smart who finished watching the news;

Ali: Dude, that...was awesome!

Kayleb: You think so?

Ali: Yeah! I mean the way you rushed in there at super speed to help those people was epic. And now from the news, people have started accepting you as the new hero of Sterling city

Dr Smart: Were you serious when you said that you will be this City's new hero on the news, you know it's a big deal?!

Kayleb: Yes I am. I mean for as long as I can remember, I have always loved helping people. That is why I became a scientist in the first place, to help humans scientifically. But since I am partly responsible for the chaos that is happening, the least I can do is try to restore order

Dr Smart: Very well then, if that is what you want, then we will help you with your fight

Presh: We can be like a team who helps the hero...

Ali: Yeah! We will call it "Team QuickBae"

Kayleb: Thanks you guys, I really appreciate it

Ali: First order of business, we need to make you a new suit with a proper mask

Dr Smart: I agree. Since your identity is gonna be secret, it is only fitting you have your own suit

Kayleb: (Smiling) I agree. Let's do this!
