Quick Transmigration - Counter Attack Of Various Characters

Living forever and wandering from one world to another on the whims of a system that bound itself to you without a single 'by your leave' isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Su Li dies of chronic illness and is bound to such a system. Now, this could be considered a blessing in disguise for others. However, the trouble is that she isn't interested in a system and to compound it all, two men - two distinctly different men - keep on following her on this world-hopping business. Two men as incompatible as fire and water, as different as the sun and the moon. The only thing they share in common is Su Li and their sheer determination to not leave her side. One of them remembers their past worlds each time they start anew, whereas the other doesn't. One of them says that she lights up his dark world and the other says that she is his entire world. One of them says that it doesn't matter if she loves him or not, she is his to cherish and pamper. The other says that she is the only one he would ever love. Though sceptical and wary, Su Li decides to put her best foot forward and make the best out of her circumstances. Why are these two men trailing her? Will she be able to get rid of the shackles placed on her by the system? Will she repudiate her deal with the system? Will she find out the answers to all her doubts and questions or will silence and melancholy be her only answer? --------Line Break-------- An excerpt from the book : "You care that much about Zixi? Because of him, you are ready to discard concerns about your own safety? Is it worth it? Is Xun Zixi really worth it?" Su Li was agitated by Li Rong's unceasing questions. She weighed her words properly and said in a hoarse voice, "It's worth it." Suddenly her eyes glazed in tears and she repeated her words, "He is worth it to me." Li Rong was stunned to see her in tears and was rendered speechless by the conviction behind her answer. "Well, I can't change your mind. You won't leave him in a lurch and I can't turn my back on you." They rushed back the way they had come and prayed that it wouldn't be too late on their part. ************ You can join me on discord at: https://discord.gg/QRgX3DZ Looking forward to seeing and interacting with you on there!

Brewing Trouble

Zixi was happy that Yueyue was fine though, he was perplexed about this Brother Li of hers. He could hear from her voice that she felt relieved and reassured with that guy.

There was only a single Li family in the capital and whom Yueyue had any contact with them. Their eldest son was more than a decade older than himself so she obviously wouldn't call him Brother Li but Mr Li.

As Zixi was pondering about it, it seemed as if he had been struck by lightning.

Oh...

Oh....

He had heard last week that the second son of the Li family had returned to the country.

It must be him.

That guy, the one who was like a torn stuck in his foot.

Zixi had seen how close that surnamed Li and Yueyue were as kids before that guy left the country and 'good radiance' he had thought. Zixi had thought that he was out of his way and Yuyue's life but now it looked like he had come back to be a pain in the backside for him.

How much bad luck did he have that for every step forward, it was two steps backwards.

He hoped to God it wasn't that guy but knowing his luck Zixi was damn sure it was that guy - Li Rong.

Why did he have to return at this point?

Really hateful.

He had watched from the shadows as that guy had occupied a major part of Yueyue's life as kids. He recalled how she used to throw a tantrum every time Li Rong had to leave the Yu residence after their play - dates. He hoped their closeness had withered away with the sands of time. Even if not on Yueyue's part, atleast on that idiot's part but then that person wasn't an idiot, was he?

Zixi waited for them at the main gate of the residence while pacing back and forth. Half an hour later he saw a black convertible coming his way and it stopped just a few feet away from him. He saw the two people getting off the car and his worst fears came true.

It was Li Rong.

He watched them come towards him but it was as if his words were stuck in his throat. Clearing his throat he welcomed the both of them inside but Li Rong said he was in a hurry at the moment and had only come to drop off ' the princess '.

Oh yes!

How could he forget, that was Li Rong's nickname for Yueyue?

A name only he was allowed to call her by.

Even the Yu patriarch didn't have the honour of calling Yueyue as ' princess ' in front of her or she would act affronted saying, "Only Rong brother can call me that. Don't speak anyhow."

Su Li had just turned to say goodbye to Li Rong when unexpectedly, he rubbed and tousled her head with a teasing expression on his face and heard him say, "Take Care, Princess".

As soon as he said that word 'Princess' while giving her head a pat, she felt a sense of déja vu.

At that moment she wasn't Yu Yue, she wasn't standing at the front gates of the Yu residence but somewhere else completely.

It was as if she was still a healthy girl going on with her life but then she heard Zixi's voice, "As you wish, Second Young Master."

Zixi didn't know what Yueyue had recalled when she heard that word, but his heart gave a violent skip as if even though she was in front of him physically, she would never return back. His eyes widened at that and he realised that all along he hadn't even thought of wondering if Yueyue herself had someone else as her ideal partner or thoughts along the same wavelength.

He shivered at the idea that his dreams of a future with Yueyue might not come true.

If she fell for someone else, what could be done?

Could he forbid her from living her own life?

Could he even think of strangling her happiness even at the cost of his own heart?

While Zixi didn't like Li Rong, it couldn't be denied that the said person had all the qualities of someone who could shelter Yueyue from everything and give her a happy life.

He tried to reassure himself that he was thinking too much, maybe Yueyue was just lost in some other thoughts and not reminiscing about her shared past with the guy in front but to no avail.

He hastily bid the other person goodbye to send him off and have a serious talk about the recent events with Yueyue.

Su Li came back to herself and waved Li Rong goodbye. Afterwards, she asked Zixi to follow her to her room. While she was having a shower, Zixi asked a maid to bring some light food into her room.

He saw her coming out of the washroom with her skin rubbed raw and saw the marks on her wrists. "How do you feel?"

Su Li raised her hands and rubbed her sore wrists, even her legs felt painful from all that haphazard running. She muttered, "It hurts."

"What happened?" He wanted to know how everything had started.

He already had a premonition about who was behind the writing on the wall, he just wanted to know if she herself had any ideas. Before she could answer him, the door to Yueyue's room was pushed open and Yu Yan came inside

"Sister, I just heard that someone had kidnapped you. It's all over the city news. Why didn't you tell me about something so serious?" Yu Yan pretended to be worried about her elder sister and went to sit down beside her on her bed.

Before she could even lower herself, she heard Yu Yue say, "As Both of you can see, nothing serious happened. I escaped from their clutches perfectly unharmed so there is no reason to make a hue and cry over it and make it out to be larger than what it already is."

With a deep breath, Yueyue further insisted, "I am too tired right now. I want some peace and quiet so both of you leave for the moment. I'll ask father to look into things once he returns back. Until then I don't want to make any moves. If the people behind the kidnappers are still keeping an eye on me, I don't want them to get restless and do something else."

Su Li said what she wanted to in a few seconds and without waiting for either of their response, she laid down on the bed, covered herself with a light blanket and turned her back towards the other two. Her posture made it quite clear that she wasn't in the mood to talk with anyone right now.

Yu Yan was really frustrated by this girl whose response was always contrary to normal people. She had thought that the other girl would be panicked, fearful or feeling similar emotions but no, she was getting ready to sleep without any worries. As if nothing serious had happened.

Anyway, Yu Yan had already done what she had planned so she could implement the next step of her plan. Therefore, she left the room readily. She herself didn't want to watch the entitled girl. Looking at Yueyue was enough to make her heart angry so why would she stay here to spike her blood - pressure.

Zixi had thought Yueyue would talk about what had happened. She went to sleep instead. So he left her room. Moreover, officially, he couldn't do anything for the moment until he heard her orders. Therefore, he left to clean up any news in the outside world about her kidnapping.

His own thoughts were spinning a mile a minute anyway with everything that had happened today. He also had to answer the calls of all the worried parties that called him after the news was leaked out and pacify them as well.

From Mo Qing to the higher-ups from the company and a few upper-level families as well. They called him to inquire about Yueyue's well - being and it was already past dinner time when he finished dealing with other people.

The next few days seemed like a calm before the storm. Yueyue stopped him and Mo Qing from investigating what had happened and just left it at that.

Today, that interloper had called for Zixi in her room. He hadn't had any contact with her since the day Yueyue had left the country four years ago. The Yu patriarch had taken away that girl's privileges at that time and he was let off from following her at the same time.

Since then Zixi had avoided her like the plague. But now she called for him specifically. Even though he didn't want to talk to her, he pressed down his unwillingness and went to her room.

He wanted to see what play she wanted to enact in front of him.

He had a feeling in his bones that everything was about to go haywire.
