TALLIA
My eyes fluttered, but I didn't open them. I'd taken an afternoon nap because I hadn't felt well all day, but now the most amazing scents were calling for me to wake up and wake up this instant.
My wolf hopped around in my head, yipping at me to get up.
I blinked open my eyes and rolled to a sitting position to find several trays with silver dome covers sitting on a side table at the foot of my bed. Bryant stood beside them with a smirk on his lips and a determined glint in his eyes.
I gulped.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"I brought you something," he said. "Come over here."
I stood, and my stomach cramped. I pressed my hand into it and held in my groan. It'd been doing that all day. I was a little wobbly on my feet, but I managed to make it to Bryant and the trays.
The smells that came from them made my eyes water and my stomach clench and cramp again. My wolf howled for whatever was under them. It was the most amazing thing I'd ever smelled.
