Azrael's Blade

'Where is it?' I questioned, as my hands grasped the daggers hanging on my side in a threatening manner.

He simply looked at me with a taunting smile, the way one looks at a child. It was his fault for the dagger that stabbed his hand to the table.

He screamed in agony but I didn't even blink as I asked again, 'Where. Is. It.'

His screams turned into laughter, and I stabbed him in the stomach. None of these would kill the almighty Azrael and it made torturing him all the more fun.

Despite the pain, he continued laughing. I knew he wouldn't spill anything like this. But there were other ways to make him talk.

I walked away from him with a cool expression, and that's when his laughter slowed down. I hated to admit it but we were too alike in this way.

I walked around the room at a leisurely pace. Azrael's followed my every move with narrowed eyes. He knew I was planning something.

Slowly, I took a seat in front of him. I leaned back in the chair, smiling at him as I asked in a sweet voice, 'Miss your precious blade?'

He hissed, 'Where is it?'

I leaned forward on the table, clasping my hands. I was still as patient as ever, wearing a lazy smile as I said, 'Tell me where my body is.'

He glared at me but didn't say anything. I looked around the room, whistling in anticipation.

As much as Azrael cared about his blade, I wasn't sure if he was willing to give up his only leverage on me.

But it seemed like he cared about his blade a lot more when he said, 'Fine.'

He got up from the chair and walked out of the room. I followed closely behind him, still wary that he would give in so easily.

I knew he was planning something so I would just have to keep my eyes open.

We walked down the hall towards Azrael's room. I knew for sure he wouldn't have it in his chambers but didn't bother commenting on that.

As soon as we reached his room, I leaned against the wall opposite his door saying, 'I'll wait here.'

He turned to glare at me for a second but didn't say anything. This was too easy and he should know better than this.

I would be stupid to enter his chambers, knowing that it was entirely under his control.

Even though I didn't have the knife on me right now, I still wasn't going to take any chances.
