Dev could do many things with a hundred gold coins. He decided to go all out with a hundred gold coins.

While returning, he bought meat of peak Level 1 beast for Lily. The flesh cost him 33 gold coins. It was a huge purchase, but Dev didn't mind.

After reaching the clinic, he called Rose and announced, "We won't practice today. Meet me in my clinic after three hours."

"But, why?" Confused, Rose asked on the call.

"I'll tell you when we meet," Dev responded and cut the call.

Rose, on the other side, was confused. But she couldn't do anything other than wait. So, she stopped thinking about it.

Dev told Rose to meet him after three hours because it was his meditation time. He tried to force open the energy barrier of the Sacral chakra today too, but he failed again. But, he didn't lose hope as he could feel that the energy barrier will shatter in the upcoming near days.

"Oh, I decided to train archery in the training ground," Dev responded smugly.

"But, wouldn't that cost too much?" Rose asked confusedly. She also knew about the training ground, as Dev told her about it and how it cost him ten gold coins just for five hours.

"It would have been costly in the morning, but not now," Dev chuckled.

"You can't earn this many gold coins in a day, and you also can't get an advance as the month is still going on," Rose became more and more confused.

"I neither got an advance nor a new customer. It's just that my Prana was effective in healing the poisoned Khandi, so Regina gave me 100 gold coins as a reward," Dev responded.

Dev and rose reached the training ground. They chose different spots for their training.

The training ground was still the same as before. The competition didn't start right away. Dev and Rose both decided to have a warm-up first, and then the contest would start. When the competition would start, Rose would pay for her place and join Dev in his place.

Dev tried the same pattern as before. He started his warmup by shooting still targets from 10 m. He successfully hit the targets until the distance crossed 150 m. His archery was way much better than the former time. The former time, he missed his first target at a distance of 100 m.

It was time for the moving marks. He still used the same pattern. He started with the bird at a distance of 50 m, and the speed of the bird is 30 m/s, and the speed increasing 1 m/s after a successful hit. He successfully hit the mark until the speed increased to 83 m/s. There was also an improvement in Dev's accuracy in the moving target by more than 20 m/s.

The warmup continued for two hours. It was finally the time for the contest.

"So, are you ready?" Rose asked.

"Yes, let's do this," Dev responded.

"What are the rules for the competition?" Dev asked Rose, as she was the one who wanted to have a contest.

"The contest is very simple. We'll start with the target at a distance of 50 m."

"We both will get ten shots to hit, whosoever hits more will win the still target contest,"

"In case we both hit all the ten shots at the same target distance, the target distance will increase by 25 m. In case we both missed and hit the same no. of shots, we'll again attempt to hit the target at the same distance," Rose announced in a single breath. She took a heavy breath after announcing the rules.

"Great, let's go," Dev announced.

As the first target was at a distance of 50 m, Dev decided to go first.

Dev nocked the arrow, took aim at the target and, shot the first out of ten bolts.

"Woosh,"

The arrow zipped through the air and successfully hit the mark. The arrow should always be silent, but Dev hasn't achieved that level yet.

"Success, success,...success," Dev successfully hit all the shots.

Now, it was Rose's turn. She nocked the arrow, took aim at the target and, shot the arrow.

"Success, success,...success," She also successfully hit all the shots to no one's surprise.

The target distance increased by 25 m. This time also Dev and Rose successfully hit all the shots.

The contest continued. Now, the target was at a distance of 150 m. It was Dev's turn to take a shot.

He nocked the arrow, took aim carefully at the target and, shot the arrow. The first arrow successfully hit the shot. He took a relieved sigh. "Don't be frustrated. I've been training for archery since I knew how to speak," Rose noticed Dev's frustration, so she spoke.

As expected, Dev lost. He was only able to hit four shots successfully out of ten times. Rose shot five arrows consecutively and won.
