Just outside a galaxy where every star seems to halt in place, there are higher beings of the universe conversing and arguing, of course being non-physical they use celestial bodies as avatars as they convey using concepts and bursts of power, however an even higher being watches and interprets them for a lower soul to understand.
A god of flame in the form of a red gas giant delivers a burst of power, "You are incapable of fixing this, your pets have destroyed all we have gifted them, all I have gifted they have destroyed! The supposed godly being you sent to these mortals has rebeled, and now you are suggesting we use another lower being to fix this?! Just what do you think it would accomplish?! It would simply restart the cycle once more!"
A bright yellow star thats slightly smaller containing a pure holy god sends a flare of its own, "At least I'm attempting to fix my mistake! The God I've sent has rebeled but doing so simply made it mortal, if we set things up correctly for the Champion he has a chance!"
Joining the argument, a sickly green colored gas cloud forms the avatar of a Cthulu-esc sea god puts in his two-cents, "Indeed, after I created the hunters realm, when a higher being believed it could take over, a champion worked really well to remove the disgusting creatures that called themselves gods and fixed my realm".
A large white and blue moon nearly the size of the others also gives its own ideas, "What if we take a soul from Prime and give it the memories of all the major champions we've had, with the memories of the chosen undead, the curse bearer, the ashen one, and the good hunter, the Champion will be ready for the challenge. We may have to negotiate a deal with the higher one but it shall work in our benefit"
This idea causes the gas giant to take a slightly brighter tint of red at the idea, "That is an excellent idea, I can give him The Gift of Cinders to allow him excellent control over flame, letting him choose what is and isn't burnt by his flames, while also letting him resist and burn away the 'scarlet rot' the mortals have called that horrid sickness", this sparks a small debate on how best to assist the champion they will sponsor for the good of the Planes with their only remaining believers.
The celestial beings after what seems to be an eternity of hashing out details seem to come to a conclusion on how best to assist their champion, the blessings granted were:
-[Blessing of the Chosen]- Having faced insurmountable foes and having learned how best to defeat them death after death, the Chosen is known for his tenacity and unwavering will the most. (gives the champion the will to continue on even in the darkest of times without withering or going mad)
-[Cursed to Return]- Death is no stranger to the cursed ones, but being cursed to return from death can allow oneself to reflect on previous actions and do better next time(Gives Champion adaptability at a high level)
-[Ashes to Ashes]- In the end all returns to dust and ash, except one, The Ashen One is a legendary figure who has fought against the likes of the legendary knight Gael and a culmination of every being who has linked the ever-burning flame only known as The Lord of Cinders, these feats were known far and wide by many and spinning the tale of the strongest undead(Champion receives two points for the price of one in physical stats, raising the max to 300)
-[Hunters Intuition]- A hunter knows the lay of the land like the back of their hand and have no trouble chasing down prey should they run, beast or otherwise(Champion instinctively knows how to hunt any creature and should they injure it, can track its exact location and movements no matter where it hides)
-[Outer touch]- Having observed the outer gods you serve, your mind expands to the possibilities that unfurl before you(raises all mind stats max to 300 and auto locks starting faith to 150)
-[Shard of the Primordial Fire]- Ever burning and ever hungry, fire is chaotic and dangerous, but having a piece of fires essence allows fine-tuned control over the uncontrollable (let's Champion choose what its flames burn and allow them to heal others with their flames)
Having seen these abilities over many times, the outer gods were satisfied in the selection for their champion, and as small extra help they each forged their own items to assist the champion on their path to help him, the holy one forming a mark on their back to give them purchase in any lands, the moon god creating unassuming ashes in a ring, the outer sea god creating a more advanced weapon from their realm, and the fire god burning a mark on their hand, all of this leading up to them sending their champion down to the planet towards a large C shaped continent housing a large golden tree, a massive shin deep lake, a peninsula covered in the color red, a large volcano which appears to have a structure built atop it, a huge snowy mountain, and a large hurricane that houses ruins placed out of time.
