I jump out of my skin. The scream was so loud everyone stopped what they where doing.

The "doctor" was on the floor rolling in agony his hand bubbling and burning. I'd never seen anything like it. he screams louder as his hand began to crack and change to a black colour.

This was my only chance to escape, and frankly I didn't want to watch a hand turn into nothing but black dust.

The crowd that began to surround us blocked most of my exits so I had to shove past them, even if I was scared to touch them after what happened. What was surprising was the fact that nothing happened to them, either way I was relieved.

Running out the doors I cross the road, on coming cars beeping Madly at my sudden decision. I know that the woman was still following me so I run.

run until I can't anymore. until I bump into a guy and end up straddling him. Not my most gracious entrance I must say.

Zoey- SHIT I'm so sorry.

Ace- No worries, I don't mind it when a beautiful woman straddles me but damn, it's never happened in a street before. *Chuckle* the names Ace.

I blush immediatly, the red warmth taking over my cheeks. I quickly stand up and go to give him a hand.

he grabs my hand and stands up, brushing himself of, while cutting me of mid sentence.

Ace- oh I know. come with me you'll be safer, and you need to get your powers under control before you either seriously hurt someone and completely expose the hidden world.

I'm stunned into complete shock until Zila quickly calmed me down by saying he can be trusted.

Zoey- it may or may not be too late about injuring someone.... of something?

ace- oh dear lord, come on let's go.

he leads me to a car and speeds quickly to a nearby forest. The journey was completely silent and awkward: it wasn't as if it was a short one either. I was glad when we pulled over because he finally spoke to me. it wasn't much but it was enough to keep my nerves in check.

ace- come and follow me, it isn't far from here

Zoey- what isn't?

ace- I'll answer your questions when we're safe, but for now just follow me.

He enters the forest and navigates through the thick shrubbery and trees, as if following an invisible path. I found it difficult to keep up, my head was still throbbing and I had just caught foot on a thorn. For some reason I didn't feel any pain from it and pulled out on instinct. The cut was small but deep enough to see a little bit of the bone, it healed almost instantaneously. What I hadn't realised was that ace had stopped a few meters ahead near a clearing and was staring back at me. his eyebrows raised as he saw the cut heal but he shrugged it of and turned his head back to the clearing. Running up to him he stands proudly.

Ace- so, what do you think?

I have a confuse look on my face, it was simply a cliff with a clearing of trees quite far down, yet my confusion disintegrates into annoyance and disappointment

I edge towards the cliff and peer over it with a huff. I was unsure of what I was looking at which just made me more frustrated and angry, so I crossed my arms.
