In the grand dining room of the Nagasaki Manor, six figures were already sitting in front of the long mahogany table. Big chandeliers glinted overhead, illuminating the room. Servants were at the side, stiffly standing in a line, waiting for orders.
Keith was sitting there like a block of ice, tensed, and frigid. Olivia was in front of him, silently smiling at no one in particular, looking prim and proper. Kate and her husband, Warren, were there too, on the other side of the table. While Hideyoshi and Carina were at the head of the table, sitting high and proud like a monarch.
They were all waiting for one more person, Katrina.
"That child is always late," Hide remarked as his face carved in stone slightly frowned.
"She might just be caught up with something while on her way," Carina chimed as to appease her husband's sour mood.
