"That's a lot of uses." Vincent muttered.

"I would like to see the look on his face if he knew I used this skill to know his skill. Technically, it's just the ultimate upgrade to his skill plus I don't need to hold anything to know what it is."

"Lucky bastard." Vincent's voice morphed into a more rigid tone as he said this, but it quickly returned to normal.

"Horny bastard." Vincent cursed before pausing.

"I know but we have something more important than a little nighttime action." He continued seemingly a conversation.

"What! Survival!" Vincent almost yelled out in frustration.

"Fine, the first opportunity I get you take over." He added in, calming down.

"Okay, now quiet down." Vincent said.

"Now that's that down, which way should I take?" Vincent mentioned as he turned on his x-ray vision, turning his head around to check the best possible solution.

To the left nothing but a catacomb leading down to a lava pit.

"Nope."

Forward, leads to what seemed to be lair full of poisonous spider which all had green illusory bodies meaning Vincent could easily kill them but after that, there was nothing ahead.

To the right, nothing the whole way.

"My choices are lava, spiders and nothing."

"A normal person would pick nothing but with their being treasure from killing monsters, I will just have to take my chances but first." Vincent said before walking back.

"I should have enough stone to create some weapons." Vincent thought as he walked back to the base.

[Basic Equipment]

[Stone Pickaxe]: Wood 42/2, Stone 57/3]

[Stone Axe]: Wood 42/2, Stone 57/3]

[Stone Spear]: Wood 42/2, Stone 57/1]

[Charcoal: Wood 42/1, Fire]

[Ordinary Stone Spear Selected]

[Materials met]

"What, I have to wait! I thought this was a game where from crafting…time." Vincent's anger raged down as he spoke out loud.

"Fine then, I'll just have to come back late." Vincent sighed before turning around and coming out of the little tunnel he had dug out.

"Imagine if I was being chased by a group of jackals. I wonder how long it would take them to eat me before the spear appeared on my corpse." Vincent mumbled as he entered his house.

As he looked to the side, he found that almost half of his home as already packed with materials, leaving whatever space he had left scares.

"I have to figure a way for increase the building, wait." Vincent reached into his pocket pulling out his plate.

He turned it over, raising up an eyebrow as he found the words "House" written on it. He placed his finger on it and after three seconds of nothing.

[House]

[Walls]

[Door]

[Window]

[Floor]

He selected house.

[House]

[Next Upgrade: Increases space to 12 by 14meters]

[Requirements: 40 Wood]

"So, I could actually increase its space and the price is low, but I will only have 40 left after the spear is finished and I broke the axe." Vincent recalled.

[Ordinary Stone Axe Selected]

[Materials Met]

[Stone spear being created]

[Creation time: 7:00]

"Hmm, it's only seven minutes that lower than the spear or is this the harder to make the longer the time." Vincent wondered as he climbed out of his base, taking in a good breath.

There was a steady supply of oxygen underground, but it wasn't steady, he was sure if he were to stay in the mines too long, he would suffocate.

Standing up, he stretched himself before walking off into the distance. His goal was to explore the place whilst simultaneously biding time for the creation of the axe.

Monsters wouldn't spawn for the next one and half and he wouldn't go far, it wasn't like he would lose sight of his base.

For the next twenty minutes he ventured into the forest, inspecting anything unusual or something he could use in his survival.

"Huh, what are those?" Vincent muttered as he witnessed something as he passed a tree.

Walking closer, he discovered a pile of white mushrooms growing in the middle of the forest. He bent over as he picked one up, activating his skill.

[Parashroom- Edible but not recommended]

[Description: A mushroom which normally grows in forest and tree covered areas. Although edible, it is not recommended to eat or even come in contact with one of these mushrooms due to its paralysis toxins which automatically dispense when touched or eaten]

Vincent dropped the mushroom before rubbing his arm into the ground, hoping for the toxins to rub off his glove.

"I should have known, I have to be careful before touching anything but thankfully I'm still wearing my gloves." Vincent commented before getting up and leaving the mushrooms in its place.

[Ordinary Stone Spear has been created]

[Do you wish to retrieve it from the base or leave it there [Y/N]

"Finally-" Vincent said but he was cut off by another notification.

[Ordinary Stone Axe has been created]

[Do you wish to retrieve it from the base or leave it there [Y/N]

"Oh, the axe is also finished. What great timing." Vincent grinned.

"Leave the spear and retrieve the axe." Vincent commanded as the axe appeared in his hand a second later.

Vincent walked over to the nearest tree but instead of waiting for the prompt to appear, he stroked the tree at its stem letting out a thudding sound as it entered into the base pretty fairly.

He rose it again, continually cutting down the tree until the tree fell down by its self-due to the weight of the tree, and instability of what was left of the stem to hold it in place.

"Huh, I works like mining stone so if I just randomly hit a portion of the tree would be cut off…or that's what I think." Vincent thought as he walked over to the log.

"Well then, time to find out."

[30 minutes later]

"The other way was easier." Vincent cried out as he rested on a log lying on the ground.

Vincent hypothesis was correct as with enough hits, a part of the log would be chopped off. However, it seemed strength also has a factor in the equation. If he used minimum strength, he would need more hits but if he used maximum strength, well I'll let you do the math.

This method seemed to leave more durability than the other as Vincent had managed to cut seven trees, one more than his previous count but on the flip side, it required physical strength and time.

Even though Vincent thought about just using the easy way, he wanted to do it himself as for some reason…he liked it even though it was wasting his time.

"Ugh, I miss this." Vincent laughed as he looked in the sky, only for him to see the sun was in the middle of the sky.

"System, how much time do I have before the monsters start to spawn." Vincent hurriedly asked, his eyes widening in disbelief.

[0:0:50]

"Holy shit! I need to get out of here." Vincent began to run, picking his plate as he ran leaving behind the wood.

Following the locator, he ran back into the forest. His speed was fast, passing through most of the forest within a minute but in his rush, he tripped over a branch falling down as the locator landed a few meters into a bush.

"Where is it?!" Vincent hurriedly squabbled as he looked for the plate. He looked over the bush, finding the plate but as he picked it up.

Grrrrrr!

A growl was heard just above him as he froze in place, slowly looking up to find a pair of two red eyes and a pair of teeth looking right at him.

"Shit."

I wonder how's he gonna get out of this one
