After Skyler finished his lunch, Eli helped him clean up his mess and wiped away the smears off his face. Some of the school staff brought extra chairs for parents to use during the activities. Skyler seated himself on his father's lap instead. He would tell his mommy about his daddy's visit today at school.
One by one, his schoolmates introduced their daddies and said something about them. Skyler was a bit nervous. Although they have discussed how he would speak in front of the crowd, he was still hesitant to talk.
When it was his turn, Eli encouraged his son to go and speak on their mini stage. Skyler took out a folded paper from his side pocket and followed his homeroom teacher on the front. He looked at his daddy's direction for reassurance. Eli nodded his head for Skyler to continue. Looking down at his written composition, he took a deep breath before he started reading its contents.
