Another Trouble
When he still hadn't heard anything from the other line, the man lifted himself from the ground.
"What the fuck is going on?!" he asked, but no one responded on the other line still.
Yelan used the distraction and moved away from him. Was Daniel coming to save her? Took him long enough to rescue her. They had known each other for two decades, and they had supported each other for as long as she could remember. If her father hadn't arranged her marriage with Darren before and she didn't fell in love with her husband, she wondered if there would be a chance that they could be together.
She knew that he harbored some feelings for her though she wasn't sure how deep it was. However, this wasn't a time to think about it; she needed to find a way to get away from this man. Else, whoever infiltrated the enemy base would have a hard time rescuing her. She had to take advantage of the situation.
