Contract

As Dracul disappeared out of sight, Adonis takes Diviya's hand and he leads her into his bedroom.

"Have a seat with me for a minute." Adonis gestures her to have a seat on the comfy couch and he sat next to her.

He was being as gentle as he could with her. He needed to make her understand this situation for what it really was and that there was nothing to worry about.

He looks directly in her eyes when he says…

"This is one of the things I actually wanted to talk to you about during our breakfast together." Adonis began, then he fill her in on the plans that WAS for him and Cathia and now that he met his mate there was no need for them to go through with this and he also explained his situation with Sadie.

He then further explains that he wants to keep the fact that he found his mate a secret for awhile longer.

Adonis chose to hide her a bit longer, he didn't want his enemies descend all at once, too soon. Adonis was the Demon King for a reason.

He had won many battles, slaughtered entire rogue villages, faced many turmoils, suffered many through many victories and still he was feared and not one to be recon with.

But he knew the moment his enemies found out that he had found his mate they may start coming out of the woodworks and would come after her.

And so now Adonis did his best to explain to Diviya that he has enemies, of course leaving out the brutality of the situation. He let her know that the moment those enemies found out he has a mate she would be in danger.

They will use her to get to him and that he cannot have.

Adonis was holding Diviya's hands as he lays it out for her, as he looks her in the eye and explained as honestly as he could.

All she had ask was is it truly over? And Adonis knew she was asking about Sadie.

"Diviya I assure you it is truly over, it was over even before I met you." He pleads with her to believe him.

She did because all she saw was raw emotion. He was telling the truth, she didn't know how to quite sense people. Like their different emotion but she can tell a bit just by observation.

But that did nothing to stop the pang of jealousy and possessiveness she felt when she first heard it.

Nevertheless she cups his face, leans in and kisses him slowly, then Adonis deepens the kiss.

His emotions was so raw right now and he'd feared what she would say or do and he also did not want to hurt her but when she kissed him, Goddess his body trembled at her touch.

This woman…..

Diviya felt something strong in that moment, she thought this Greek God took the time to explain everything, the women, enemies, danger.

And so far he has been really considering her feelings. Maybe it was because of everything she has been through recently. She was so appreciative and in a way she felt really special.

He actually considers her feelings.

Where did he come from? Who is he?

But then again she quickly remembers she doesn't really have much experience with relationships but from what she has heard from her friend's experiences and from her tv shows and the types of men some of these rom coms and some series portray.

THIS is not usually the norm, the male is almost always oblivious and then it ends up a thing, all because the female thinks the male should know these things and he is clueless and is wondering what the hell is all the attitude about blah blah blah… Yeesh!

Then she sums it up easily when she remembers he has lived countless lifetimes, so he knows what's up.

Then she just wanted to kiss him. And so she did.

Now Adonis knew they had to go and greet Cathia soon so he slowly breaks the kiss then peppered some soft kisses on her lips and cheeks and he bit her ear. Diviya moans softly.

"Hey look at me." Adonis says as he now cups Diviya's face then his index finger settled at the back of her chin.

"Of course if it comes down to claiming you…I want you to know that I am doing it in a heart beat." He wanted her to know that yes he wanted to keep her a secret because she would constantly be in danger when it is known that SHE was HIS mate.

Adonis will never not claim her if placed in the situation.

Once he can avoid it he will and hold off as long as he can.

Damn it, seeeeeee there he goes again.

Lord help me! Diviya thought.

Adonis says "come on we have to get going." He lets her go and she quickly rose to her feet, smoothing out her skirt as she walked toward the door.

Diviya and Adonis then made there way down to the waiting rooms where Cathia was patiently waiting in one of them.

They were soon at the door of the waiting room, it was the fourth one down the corridor. Diviya remembers this room being very business like. Leather couches, magazines on the glass table in the middle.

On entering Diviya's eyes immediately found Cathia and Cathia's fell on Adonis and then her eyes swept across to Diviya then swept back to Adonis but just as quickly swept back to Diviya.

As she says "darling who is SHE?" in a rich French accents.

Yes Diviya recalls vampires are from France.

Adonis thought that Cathia looks so tacky as his eyes swept over Cathia and he briefly wonders what he ever saw in her to begin with to even entertain her for so long?

Cathia was dressed in a blouse, jacket, tight mini skirt that hugs her curvaceous hips. Thigh high stockings, high heels and her face was packed with make up.

Long flowing Blonde hair and piercing grey eyes.

They both observe Cathia, Diviya was standing a step behind Adonis. To the side of him. Poised, shoulders squared and full of confidence, hands clasp in front of her.

"SHE is not your concern and call me darling one more time and I shall cut your tongue out." Adonis drawls as someone who has no care in the world.

However he and Cathia never called each other pet names and all of a sudden it's darling in front of HIS mate he was Livid.

And though he said it nonchalantly his aura and the atmosphere changed to a deadly tone. He was not up for whatever games she was trying to play he would not allow it nor entertain it.

Diviya has been through enough these pass few days he thought he was not about to cause her any type of grief.

Cathia pouts and says "why are you being this way?"

Adonis really wanted Cathia to enlighten them because as far as he knew he was never exclusive with her nor made any promises nor have they ever greeted each in such a way. To be very clear.

All they had was this binding contract that never actually reached its final stages.

And yea he smashed her a couple of times but again make no mistake, he was very clear with his intentions both times and there were no promises made.

And they never ever showed any type of affection so the question actually was, what the hell was she trying to really do all of a sudden?

Lifting a perfectly shaped eyebrow Adonis says "please do explain."

Cathia knew she was being up to no good and was not getting anywhere.

Defeated rolling her eyes she says "I am here because of our contract."

"Oh I am happy you brought that up… see because I wanted to inform you that I actually met my beautiful mate….and as such there will be no signing of contracts, there will be no engagement….there will be no wedding."

Adonis felt so good saying that to Cathia, he knows soon enough her brother the Vampire King will find out but Adonis did not care.

He will prepare for what's to come. It felt good admitting that.

Cathia blanched, she now looks like someone stole her poodle. "No she says, it can't be."

"What can't be, Cathia? Adonis really wanted to know.

"You finding your mate…., I mean you have been around for so long and never met her."

"Adonis please", she took a step forward, "please don't throw this away."

She was in front of him in a second using her vamp speed and her hands reaches up to touch him…..

A few thing happens the next second…Adonis hands was already moving upward to ward off her hands from touching him….

Diviya had stood there quietly listening to this bitvh beg her mate and did not say a word or bat an eye in their direction.

However now the bitvh was about to TOUCH HIM???

Diviya was not having this, that possessive monster showed his head.

Nuh uhh, noPe, not going to happen. A wave of possessiveness flows through Diviya along with jealousy and she was blinded.
