Prophecy Failure: Mr. Reckless NOT Harbinger of Death

One's trash is another's treasure. Varun may have failed and died after being the Prophecy hero, the end of the chaos, Rahambose... but he wishes for another to rise, after he falls. By telling his story of the Prophecy Failure, he uses the last of his breath and hope, hoping for the real hero to rise. A secret superhero. A Psychopath. A nightmare causing dragon. The last survivor of the second strongest intelligent beings. A normal college student, barely ever travelled in his life, summoned to an alien planet and given powers. A normal city, never having seen snow, covered in ice. A normal friend group, who quarrel amongst themselves, left to fight against things beyond their wildest dreams. A normal girl, who can't take care of self, forced to be the queen of Pluto. A Prophecy Failure, worth telling. Will a story be enough? To bring about a hero? Or just another Prophecy Failure? At least heroes are real. But so is he, Rahambose. And so is the fact that: in the end it is ALWAYS Rahambose.

Chapter V - The Wolf (3/3)

"Are you guys serious?" Varun sighed.

"Spare us that we just wanted to see if you are fine," Kara scoffed.

"Well, I'm still me. Except the part where Alias' concept about mutation was true," Varun said.

"I was kidding about that part actually, but wow," Alias said.

"That is weird. But, I did turn into some kind of werewolf. At least that is what my friends said I looked like. There was no mirror or water, but the form did feel cool. Ring any bells?" Varun asked.

"A werewolf…?" Alias asked.

"The closest thing looking like a werewolf is an Attear. What is an Attear again?" Manasie asked.

"Something which doesn't sound as cool as a werewolf," Varun pointed.

"Attear is a being which decides of who becomes a Primevel warrior. Me and Nemesis fought one together to see who it accepts to be a true warrior first, just recently," Alias said and looked at Nemesis.

"Does the being also have blue blood which floats in the air and scars people?" Varun asked.

"Wait, I know this one. The blue blood of Attear is called as Anigon, it is what makes Primevel warriors as strong as they are from other Primevels," Manasie said. "And also, Kara's story must have included about me talking about it. Psycho used it on Nightrale and Magpie."

"Rings a bell," Varun said.

"All of that is not completely true. It is called as Trigon, not Anigon. It is not Attear's blood, Attear's blood is usually dark purplish in colour and it rarely bleeds. Attear only bleeds out Trigon when it senses a warrior is good enough and the blood strikes them, making them powerful. Psycho tried to gain Trigon by killing Attears but failed," Alias said.

"His only way he could have Trigon was to drain it from a Primevel warrior and they can't resist as an Attear could. But being in a Primevel's bloodstream, it forms the product Anigon rather than Trigon. Pure Trigon can't be extracted but surely Varun's one was Trigon. Because Anigon is red in colour," Nightrale said. "I did my research, you're welcome."

"Damned chemistry mix up," Manasie cursed.

"Well, so humans could be a Primevel warrior if Trigon gets stuck to them?" Varun asked.

"Yes, and it is the only way for them to survive on other planets. Or they must be a dragon," Manasie said.

"Or a hybrid too," Nemesis added.

"Or O.M.E.E.B.… yeah, I learnt a lot. Somebody praise me," Nightrale said.

"You're doing great Nightrale. Really helpful," Varun said.

"And Anigon doesn't work as Trigon does," Alias said.

"Why are you asking this so curiously?" Kara asked suspiciously.

"Well, I stuck my six friends with Trigon because I seem to have mutated into an Attear on my teleportation to Earth. One wasn't 'chosen' for it though," Varun said.

"What in the world did you do?" Nightrale asked for re-confirmation.

"People must not have witnessed that. Who all saw?" Alias asked.

"Well, people cared less after all the snow," Varun said.

"Snow in Bengaluru?" Manasie asked.

"That is not possible," Harun said.

"Well, and my friends think it could be Rahambose. And that he has come to Earth. And they want me to stop him alongside me. And now that they are powerful than normal, nothing will stop them, I tell you," Varun sighed, face-palming himself.

"Rahambose hasn't left his Altar in a long time. Or Gust and the others would have ended him or maybe sent a call for me somehow," Manasie said.

"But snow happening is unusual," Varun shrugged.

"There could be another explanation… if what Lady Manasie said is true," Harun said.

"Then you guys must come to Earth and help us," Varun said.

"Could be a solution," Harun accepted.

"Could be a solution? We have a Psycho loose here. We can't go at this time. It will be a long journey to go and come back and to even solve the problem there," Kara said.

"That is reasonable," Manasie said.

"Ok but if it really is Rahambose?" Varun asked.

"It won't be and we'll see about that if it comes to it. You guys must stay put until then, against whatever it is," Manasie said.

"Fine… I trust you," Varun said.

"Really…?" Manasie scoffed.

"Was being nice," Varun hissed.

"Fine, now go away already," Manasie said.

"I have no interest in having your presence anyways," Varun said.

"Ok, now off you can go," Alias sighed.

Alias reached out behind Varun's armour and removed the stone once again.

A blinding light covered Varun and he disappeared.

"Is that what he told about teleporting?" Adam asked.

"Possibly," Aria and Jiant said and looked at each other.

"Ok, we can't really talk about this after he comes back as we may not get a chance. Fact bomb: one of us will die," Adam said.

"Then perish," Maaz scoffed.

"Maaz, Varun or me will surely kill you," Adam said.

"Look, we can't just let him go on some death road all by himself you know," Aria said.

"Yeah, we need a chance to look cool too, you know," Jiant said.

Aria glared at Jiant.

"We have grown stronger and need to save our friend, which are the main points and not just to look cool," Jiant sighed.

"Ok, I don't know how you mean we are strong. I don't feel it," Adam said.

Jiant went to the door cabin.

"Really? Classic breaking the door?" Aria sighed, face-palming herself.

"Not a fan of the classics? Fine," Jiant said.

Jiant went ahead and locked the gate with the lock set they were given. And then threw the key, out the gate. Before Aria could speak her mind, he broke the lock with his bare hands, without harming the gate in anyway.

"You…" Aria said, Jiant turned back and grinned. "Idiot. That was the only lock we had."

"Wait, didn't ma'am give you another set just in case Varun might break one?" Jiant asked.

"And he denied saying he is in control. Trying to prove he is in control," Aria sighed.

"Ok, never happened. But you see, we are strong," Jiant said.

"Or as Varun might say: you were someone strong and just now revealed seeing the chance," Maaz said.

"You being too much with that guy. And you guys can try," Jiant said.

"Not after that," Adam pointed at Jiant's hand which was bleeding.

"Are we living in a cartoon? It stings after I look at it," Jiant said holding his hand.

Flint and Maaz ran to Varun's bag. Maaz ransacked some dressing-bandage and Flint took Varun's bottle. Flint opened the bottle cap.

"Don't worry, he didn't spit in it," Flint said.

"All I'm worried is how the whole universe is in there," Jiant scoffed.

Flint washed Jiant's wound and after drying it, he dressed the wound.

Just then Varun appeared in front of Adam, out of no where.

"Holy lord," Adam said.

"Relax, at least I'm not an Attear this time," Varun said.

"I suppose that is what the wolf is called as," Jay said.

Jiant, Flint and Maaz quickly made sure things looked normal while Varun was looking away.

"Yes and also yes on trying to find about the situation and solve it," Varun said.

"Well, we had already accepted on it. But good to re-confirm," Aria said.

"What changed your mind though?" Fara asked.

"Well, the possibility that this could be, not Rahambose. But it could also be worse than that too. But if it is then my Plutonian friends will come. And… Jiant's words were right. You guys must be strong now," Varun scoffed.

"Well, that's nice," Jay said.

"Ok, where do we go first?" Fara asked.

"Whose is the closest house? We could start from there," Varun said.

"Yours," Jiant said.

"Will it be ok? Will your parents be ok with us coming?" Aria asked.

"My parents must have left to my aunt's house, so the house will be empty. I have a key so we can enter. And I guess by the current situation, my parents will least care that I bought in guests," Varun shrugged.

"Sounds good," Flint said.

Everyone started moving towards the gate and left behind Aria and Varun, who were the last ones to move. Just as everyone was ahead of the two of them, Aria turned to Varun who was looking suspiciously into his bag.

"So, you have already established the 'friends' part on them?" Aria asked.

"You could say so. I mean, just have a feeling about them but will see," Varun said.

"Feeling, right a feeling," Aria said.

"Yes, nothing but a feeling. So, shut it," Varun said, signing her to shut up.

"Fine," Aria laughed.

"Right when our college days would have been completed, this happens," Varun sighed.

"Yeah, twenty-twenty seems to suck already," Aria said.

"How bad could it be? It's just snow. We can make a snowman and celebrate Christmas," Varun shrugged.

"But this seems bad, so we must actually stop the Christmas," Aria said.

"Oh, I know. Our team will be called as Team Anti-Christmas," Varun said.

"Always with the crazy terminology," Aria giggled.

"Always the one still bearing with me," Varun said.

"Well can't seem to stop being pulled along your way," Aria said.

"I thought we had an agreement on the no flirting part," Varun groaned.

"Well, it is always good to see your soul leave your body when I do that," Aria laughed.

"That is literally what happens. And it is so not pretty, young lady," Varun said.

"Bear with it, four years already. And a lifetime to go," Aria said.

"Yeah, that's what scares me," Varun sighed.

Aria laughed out loud and everyone turned towards the two of them. They both realised of being heard by the others and stopped with their conversation, walking towards the others.

They looked back at the building from outside with a sense of nostalgia. Together they simply closed the gate shut, but didn't have anything to lock it with. They just simply walked away…

***

Someone came up to the closed gates of the school which Varun had left just a while ago.

"Could have just took a spare lock, Varun," the person sighed.

He was a tall handsome man, who looked like he was in his twenties. His moustache got covered with some snow as he sighed and wiped it off. He had a small beard just below his lower lip, in a V-shape and trimmed beard on his chin.

He un-pocketed a set of lock and locked the gate. He then looked at the building in the same nostalgic-sense the students had in their eyes.

"You're welcome for my service," he nodded to the building.

He turned behind and looked at the green-gem in his hand. A portal opened right ahead of him.

The portal had a circle at this end and the other end, and pitch black darkness in between them. Or maybe the portal was a ring. But it still never encouraged him to step into that abyss of darkness, to use as a pave.

"I still do have some students of mine to look after though. Which I will, don't worry," he talked to the building again, without looking at it.

He hopped into the portal.
