My Job Was To Keep Searching For Him

Lin Zhu, the son of the former owner of the shop visit them.

He was been here since a week ago trying to see what's the new things changes in the shop. That's when he found out that the studio on the second floor is done.

He offered his help that he'll look out on the first floor, pretending to be the cashier. Well, he will be a cashier if there's a customer.

The changes in the shop were clearly visible. The inside looks comfy and very welcoming. The CD's are neatly displayed in their racks. And the signboard of the shop was eye catching with the LED lights. It really looks like a wonderful shop. Aiya, he felt motivated to work here.

A minute later, someone unexpectedly entered the shop. It was a woman in her 18's and was a chubby girl. However, for Lin Zhu she was beautiful. Especially her eyes.

"Hello, ma'am. Welcome to our shop! What can I do for you?" He greeted with a smile.

"Hi, I would like to browse around to see what I can find." The woman smiled.

"Okay, take your time."

While browsing some CD. Mi Yin heard music coming from the second floor. It was very catchy, and the vocal is amazing.

"Excuse me, ma'am. You can't go there. It's off limits." Lin Zhu immediately inform her, seeing that she was curious to go up to the second floor.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know."

"It's okay. Its our fault. We forgot to put on a sign." He smiled. Well, they never even expected someone would enter the shop as it opens to the public.

Mi Yin exit the shop after buying the CD she was interested in. She looked up to the second floor and stared at the glass window, finding two people standing there with their back facing her.

"Min Ju! Wow! I'm so excited!" He Rue fanned herself after listening at the full recorded song. "We should go call Wuxie now and celebrate!"

"You're much more excited than I am." Min Ju put her hands in her pocket slightly leaning at the window.

"What's wrong? Is there any problem?"

"I'm nervous. What if this is a flop?"

He Rue watched her agape. Surprise was visibly written on her face.

"Wow, Min Ju. This is the first time I saw you doubted yourself. Anyway, relax! Your hardwork will definitely pay off! That was such a good song, you know. And your voice sounds wonderful!" He Rue said this encouraging and complimenting words and nudge her on the side.

"I have friends that I can share the music with. With Wuxie and Lin Zhu here with us, they'll definitely spread the music to their circle of friends. I'm sure they will like it. I promise."

Min Ju smiled and playfully punch He Rue's shoulder. "Such words... I'll definitely won't forget that."

"Ju, we're a family remember? We help each other, encourage each other, reach out a helping hand. You said that helping each other makes the world happier remember? I'm happy that I can help. You taught me to be a better person, Ju."

"You know why I told you that? Because people deserve kindness." Min Ju pat her on the shoulder before drinking the honey and lemon tea.

"Hey, what's the rush? You call me as if something bad had happen." Qin Wuxie arrive at the meeting place huffing. When she received the call, she heard He Rue's frantic voice. So she thought that something happened to Min Ju. However, seeing the woman smiling at her she calmed down.

"We need to celebrate!"

"What should we celebrate for? Should we call Grandpa Fu, Grandpa Xiao and Uncle He for the celebration?"

Qin Wuxie already met Old Man Xiao when she visit the Fu Manor. At first she was shock to meet one of the big shot in the house. But later on, she was filled in that Min Ju adopted Old Man Xiao. She laughed out loud at that phrase, to tell you the truth. It should be Old Man Xiao adopting Min Ju as his granddaughter but the Old Man keep on insisting that he was adopted by Min Ju. What a silly old man.

"Nah. They are not in the house. We don't know why they are so busy. They are being sneaky with Grandpa Xiao actually. Even Ki Shuang don't want to tell us where they've been going around." He Rue scrunch up her nose. Waving her hand at the waitress to order foods.

Min Ju propped her chin in her palm before speaking,

"Although they wanted to hide it from me, it was obvious that they are searching for brother." Min Ju shakes her head and continued, "Ah, this old men. They underestimated my sharp observation. Also, my hunch were proven true when my sources came to report."

A light flashes through her eyes remembering that she hired a few men to find her brother the previous days. She was shock to find that Old Man Xiao is so invested to find her brother. Helping her and her grandfather with the loads of work.

"As a sister, my job was to keep searching for him. Find the truth, whether he was still alive or not. They didn't have to keep it a secret for me. No matter how painful the news may be, I will accept it wholeheartedly."
