“I don’t know, I think that’s just an LGBT campaign,” he said cryptically, and she slid her tiny arms around his waist and hugged him tightly to her, like she could force him not to go.

“One day I’ll tell them,” she promised, and Shane pulled lightly on her hair.

“Sophie’ll gawk, and Luke’ll put his foot in it, and then you can call me and tell all about it and we can laugh at them.”

“Oi!” Sophie shouted from the living room. “Where’s these fucking snacks!”

“Hold your fucking horses!” Shane bellowed back, and Rebecca laughed helplessly against his chest.

“Stop snogging your fake girlfriend and move your arse!” Sophie screamed.

“Shut the fuck up, all of you!” Luke interjected, and Shane laughed.

Rebecca squeezed his hand, and finally let go.
