Captured

    They sedated me, because when I opened my eyes all I can see is blackness, and I am lying on the cold floor made of stone. I heard howling and rustling of chains from a distance. I attempted to adjust my eyes, but it is still very dark, I am fearful to know where I am exactly. The shackles on my feet were gone, while the handcuffs are still on my wrists, the lights that encompassed the handcuffs are now missing.

   "Hello! Anyone in there?" I shouted, but all I heard is the echo of my own voice, and the continued prolonged mournful cry of the wolves. I stand up, and I am groping in the dark trying to look for a wall, or door, I exerted more energy to call my power within myself, I am very angry just thinking about what Avery and Suzanne did to me.

     Suddenly, the whole place illuminated, and I can feel my royal wings sprang out, I visualize a key made of lights to open the handcuffs, and I laugh when I was able to break free, and I can freely move my hands.

    I can see that I am in a cell, and I am startled to find Declan in the far end corner of the cell, curled into a ball, his knees pulled up into his chest, I quickly ran to his side.

"Declan! Are you alright?" I shake his body, but he is not responding. I checked his pulse, and I can feel his unstable heartbeat, I touch his head, and started calling my healing power within me, different shades of blue are released from my hands, and blanketed Declan's entire cold body.

    Hearing Declan moaned in pain make me feel happy, I am relieved that he is showing some progress, at first I felt his heartbeat returned to normal, next he opened his eyes, and stand up right away upon seeing my face.

   "Malia? Thank goodness you are fine, or else I could never forgive myself." Declan said, and he stands up in front of me, then his eyes turned big upon seeing my wings. He turned around, and inspected my visible wings, I wanted Declan to know the truth, I used to be a candid person.

"You! You are the Lost Princess of Erthesia, you are not a half human at all, I know it! You are the daughter of King Maverick & Queen Thalassa, at all times I am hoping that you are alive and real, you are just a myth until now." In swift moment he bowed down his head and kneeled down before me.

    "Declan, you don't need to do that, please stand up now, what do you mean I am just a myth?" I asked confused.

     "Well, when you were born only kings and queens have seen you, when you were a baby your room has been protected by a combination of magic created by the powerful Kings of Erthesia to keep you safe, that is why the whole fairy community don't believe you existed, even after the disappearance of your father a magic scroll appeared and rumored to be from the king himself, your father." He said looking at me mesmerized, I already concealed my wings back.

"According to the scroll, one day the true heir of the throne will rise, and she will be called the Fairy Spektra. A Spektra is the one who possesses the most powerful wings within the whole fairyland, it has been predicted long time ago by the oldest seer in the kingdom before our parents were born, that time will come a Spektra will be born by a queen, it was not known that time that it was your mother the prophecy was talking about." He said without breaking his gaze from me.

  "When the queen got pregnant the successor Seer predicted that the child she was carrying is the Fairy Spektra, her ability can surpass the power of King Mirrick, that is why the pregnancy of the Queen was not made known to all fairies."

    "They thought, the story of the lost princess is made up to give them hope that someday you will save them from the Dark King, but my father told me about you having the most mighty wings of all fairy land. I am so honored to be your friend Princess, and to have a glimpse of your beautiful wings, and thank you for saving me."

    "I have many questions for you Prince Declan, but I think we need to get out of  here first." I said surveying the whole place for possible access to escape.

"Where are we by the way?" I asked, looking directly at his dazzling eyes, that have a resemblance to Flynn's eyes. Is he looking for me now? My heart skips a beat just thinking about Flynn, I miss our date because of his two lunatic fans, I decided to clear my conscience, when I see Flynn again, I will tell him everything, I can't take it anymore, I want him to accept me for who I am.

"We are on the forbidden side of the magical forest, in fact, we are in a cave, these cells are use by the dark forces to keep their hostages before bringing them to the dark kingdom, I don't have any idea how did Avery got access to this place, I think she is ready to bargain anything just to steer clear of you. He loves Flynn so much to do this to you, I am so sorry Malia, I don't have any intention of hurting you." He said remorsefully.

"I am not that stupid Declan, I believe my instincts, you are my friend, and I know that you will never sabotage our friendship. You were under a strong spell, that is why you helped them to capture me, I realized it the moment I saw you with them in our dorm room."

"I am new to this world, I don't know how to use my power, I could have saved you in the academy, but by doing that I need to risk revealing myself to them, I can't do that, I am not yet prepared to fight the enemies." I said feeling hopeless.

   "Hey! Don't be so hard to yourself Malia, I should have been careful, I was confident enough to trust them, I can't believe they would do this thing just to get rid of you, I know that Avery is not what she seems, she has hidden agenda."

   "I know how my cousin's felt about you, that is why on the first day we met I tested his feelings for you, I never expected Flynn to fall in love with you, he is too arrogant to pay attention to a common fairy, I am glad to know by the way that you are a royal after all, at least now I am thankful that both of you will be spared from execution."

   "Yeah! About that I am not sure how he will react the moment he uncovers the veracity of my life story." I said sadly.

   "All I know is he loves you Malia, it is up to him, it doesn't change the fact that you will be his queen, for me it doesn't matter at all." Declan gives me one of his adorable smiles.

"Declan I swear, I don't want to take the crown from him, I came here to save my parents, and to save the entire fairyland as well, if I can, but I never expected to fall in love with him too, it is his crown to take not mine."

    "Malia, it has been known, even my uncle is waiting for you to come home. Flynn knew from the very start that he will lose the crown to the Crown Princess of Erthesia." Declan said looking at me full of hope.

    On the fifth cell from ours, I can see a figure on the floor, I think he is also a prisoner. We really need to get away from here fast. Declan and I joined our magic to open the prison cell, we were able to make an opening enough for us to get out, when we heard voices coming in our direction, then I saw them, men who were wearing black robes with black hoods coming in our way. That moment, it dawned on me that these gentlemen haunted me in my dreams when I am still in the human world.

    Those dreams made my life miserable for how many months, I hate these people, at least there are ten of them, they stood in front of us wearing devilish smiles on their faces.

    "Going on a trip Princess?" Asked the person in charge, and I am face to the same person who almost seized me at the capital, he is the only one wearing a black suit, he must be the leader.

    "I hate to break it to you, our Dark Prince is coming his way to bring you to our Kingdom." He immediately immobilized Prince Declan by binding his whole body with a dark rope coiled with sparkling lights, he also put a dark cloth in Declan's mouth so that he will not be able to talk. I heard Declan groaning in pain.

   "Now, if you want to save the Crown Prince of Katharos, you need to follow my command nicely, or else he will die, this time you can never escape from me Princess." He said wickedly.

I inhaled deeply and cogitate what would be my next move in order to escape, while keeping Declan safe. They brought us to the cell adjacent from the previous one we occupied, he pushed us strongly to get inside, this time his cronies stand beside our cell, while he went inside beside me scrutinizing my whole body in an eerie way.

   "You are really beautiful, you have a face of an enchantress, seductive body and luscious legs, I can't wait to present you to Prince Lucian, I guess he wants you for a wife, if that would be the case you will be spared from death." He smiled touching my hair menacingly.

    I can feel Declan's protest, but he can't help me at this moment. I never thought Declan can be this fragile for a Crown Prince, he is lack of training and focus, maybe because he loves reading and writing, I know he is born with power, being a Prince give him an advantage, if ever we can break out from this terrible prison, I will definitely bring him with me during my training, I will force him to train with me.

    "Declan, listen to me, don't do something stupid okay? I am strong remember? Just give me time to think, besides, they don't plan on hurting me yet. I am a package to be delivered to the Dark Kingdom, while we are here, we are still safe." I talked to Declan using telepathy.

    "Wow! I can hear you Mal, you are indeed an Ischyros, your bloodline is known to be able to communicate from a remarkable distance, okay, I will wait for your plan." I heard Declan's stunned response.

    "I just learned this ability recently, so bear with me, okay, from now on I will talk to you in your mind so that they will not hear us talking, we will find a way to escape from here I promise you Declan." I said to him.

    "It is so funny Princess, I must be the one to save you, but it seems you will be the one saving me." He said helplessly.

    "Don't think about it, what is important is we can get away from here." I replied to him.

    "I will be back later, remember, don't do anything stupid Princess, don't make me angry." The leader of the men with black robes said, then they vanished into thin air.
