Traitors, Part 11

Alex felt angry, very angry. It was near unbearable. Not only that, but his vision was slightly blurry and red. He felt as if he wasn't really in control of himself.

But Alex knew one thing for sure, that man needed to go. The man looked at Alex with lights in his eyes, "Magnifi-" Before he could finish the word Alex had already kicked the man in the stomach. The man was sent flying into a wall with a crunch. The wall cracked and he fell to the ground.

Alex felt… light. Everything felt like a dream like his senses were not his own. He turned to Jasmine and placed his hand on her icy shell. It shattered and she fell into his arms. She was shivering, wearing a dress wasn't the right move. She smiled at him, "G-g-good to s-s-see y-y-you m-moving." Alex nodded but he couldn't find the words.

Alex slowly lifted her feet off the spikes and she squeezed his arm. Alex laid her down

"Ha ha ha ha." Alex looked over his shoulder to see the man get up from the floor. "Ohhh, that's the power I've been looking forward to. You, oh Reaper, have my esteemed thanks." The man bowed with the gracefulness of a swan.

Jasmine looked at Alex, "That mans crazy." Alex stood up and walked toward the man. He leaned up and threw bolts of ice at him but as they landed on Alex's body they shattered. Alex could tell what kind of power he was accessing now.

Magic canceling, he had only read about it. The ability to cancel magic power completely. It was a powerful skill, but the rumors surrounding it were dark. The man seemed to smile even brighter, "Such power, you're the one I'm looking for."

He lifted his hands up, "You are going to help me end this ugly world." He swirled his arms and a stream of ice flowed from his fingertips. Alex raised his own hand and a swirling torrent of fire burst forth.

The two streams connected but it was clear the ice was being pushed back. The fire over took the man's spell and fire rushed over him. Alex stopped the spell feeling like it had accomplished its purpose.

Alex was wrong. The man's clothes were charred and burning. His hair was singed off, but he seemed completely unharmed. His skin shined bright and light glinted off, as if like ice.

Alex felt a peculiar magic surrounding him, something he hadn't felt before. He laughed maniacally, "He he he ha ha haha, even you cannot harm me." Alex found it annoying his spell hadn't worked as intended, but found it weird he felt that way.

"My lord Reaper, you were a tool were you not. Used for war, as I was. They sicked me on their enemies and I obeyed, as I had no other choice." He pointed at the King who sat in his throne bleeding. He had ripped the ice from his shoulders and was holding the wounds.

"He sent you to die in a war that was not your own. He is your enemy, not me." Alex looked at the king. He may have known of his ability, but he seriously doubted he pushed him to join the war. The king was far from desperate in battle power.

The man opened his hands and poison bellowed from his hands, "You cannot help them all." The clouds of poison rolled into the crowed and many began caughing. Alex had created a gust of wind to blow the cloud away, but it wasn't enough.

All of a sudden a meatal claw broke through the great wooden doors of the Hall. It surprised everyone, including the man. "It seems like that fool couldn't finish the job." The claw tore at the door as another broke through.

The door shined gold before breaking away from its hinges. A massive ogre looking creature walked into the hall and Jasmine smiled, "That kids good." The ogre growled and John ran through the threshold, "Everyone out, now."

The ogre moved put of the way and many of the people ran put of the hall. The man stopped the spell, sensing his plan had fallen apart. Behind John was Lance, who looked beat up bad and a woman caring him. Alex varly recognised the woman but what caught his eye was the princess.

After the guest had all fled the group ran in. The ogre had walked in and growled at the man. Rose ran up behind Alex and saw her father, "No!" She tried to run to him but Alex grabbed her arm.

The man looked skeptical, "How… No no no, its not possible. How is it you are alive. You should be dead." Alex looked at him and the red glow of his eye seemed to brighten. John walked next to him, "Hes that imposter right. Oh I got a bone to pick with you."

The ogre growled mightily and the shandeliers shook. Alex looked over at lance and snapped his finger. All his cuts dissapearedand he stood up, "Thanks." The other woman ran to the kings side, "My lord!"

He raised his hand, "Stop, its still not over." Alex eyed the man as he laughed, "It seems my plan has been flaunted. No matter, my true goal has been met."

The man pointed at Alex, "You will destroy this city, it was written in the stars. It is your duty, your fate." Rose held Alexs shirt, "Are you ok?" Alex nodded, still unable to find words.

The man looked at the princess, "You may have lived today, but your fate has been written as well. You cannot run from it, not can I. You will be the last in the line of rulers." The king growled as he sat up, "The line will not fall to villanes like you."

The man grinned, "I never said I would." The man pointed at Alex, "Your fates are intwined."

Alex lifted a hand and a small, nearly translucent arrow like pin formed in his hand. It dissapeared and a second later hit the man in the shoulder. Unlike what he thought may happen, the mans shoulder cracked like glass as the pin shot through his shoulder.

Alex narrowed his eyes as he shot more, all with the same effect. He looked like a c4acked porciline doll made of Ice. His arms had been shot off and most of his body. The man laughed, "You cannot escape fate… you will kill-"

The ogres fist slammed down on the man and he was crushed. John wiped his hands down on his Jacket, "Easy peasy. Should have done that at the beginning." They all looked over at him and he shrugged, "What, you weren't thrown out a window."
