You're old

Xu Cheng patted Xu Lei's head and reminded softly. "Xu Lei. You're about to turn 20 next year. Be more mature." Xu Lei lowered his head and scoff. "Twenty isn't old. 25 plus is."

He murmured, but then his eyes widen, as he realized something.

The atmosphere on the room hasn't change, but Xu Lei himself withdrew his arm and hurriedly went to his mother's side, in fear. After a few months, Xu Cheng will turn 25, which Xu Lei just called him old.

Xu Cheng watches as his nephew ran away in fear and heaved a long sigh. Although, he was hit as he called him old, he also can't blame him as what he said is true.

"Uncle... I... I'm sorry." Xu Lei apologized in fear, while hiding. The empress dowager chuckled softly. Xu Lei become more scared, when Xu Cheng took a step forward and approach him. Xu Cheng stop a few inches away from Xu Lei and raise his arm.

Xu Lei close his eyes, expecting a beating but there isn't, instead it was a gentle pat on the head. "Calling someone old is a bit offensive. So try on controlling your speech, okay?" Xu Cheng said with a harmless smile. Xu Lei slowly nodded blankly. The empress dowager smiled once more time, before asking.

"By the way, Lei'er... Where is Xu Dong?"

As the empress dowager mentioned him, Xu Lei's face went dark. "No idea. Better not mention his name in front of me ever again." Xu Lei said and look at Xu Cheng. "Uncle, sorry. But I still have some business to deal with. Farewell."

Xu Cheng nodded, letting him leave and asked. "Xu Dong? Who is he?" The empress dowager shook her head and look at him apologetically.

"I'm sorry, Cheng'er. However, I'm tired. next time, okay?" Xu Cheng heard a bit of sadness in her voice, but still nodded his head and left.

AS he entered his carriage, he ordered, Fu Rong, his royal guard. "Investigate what happened to the palace, when I'm away... and report it to me as soon as possible." Fu Rong nodded.

[Why does the name itself bother me? Just... Who are you? Xu Dong... huh?] He thought absentmindedly, looking at the window, as he recalled how Xu Lei's expression change so quickly.

What even bothers him was his surname. Xu? Then why wasn't he inform if his sister got pregnant again? [But sister's already old. Is it still possible?]

But then he recalled how their mother got preganant with him in her 50s. [Okay, okay... But still... Xu Lei won't harbor any hatred towards a little boy... He definitely be an adult.]

Lin Che look at Wu eating non-stop and asked. "are you sure, you haven't tasted any of what you are eating right now?" Wu answered a 'yes' through his full mouth and stuff a food again on his mouth, continued on eating completely ignoring her.

'Then why are you so round? Is it just an air?' She look at Wu curiously, then gasped in surprise. Lin Che took her hairpin and pointed it at Wu's tummy.

When nothing happened, she did it again, yet nothing happened once again. As Wu started to lose his patience, he finally snapped. "What do you think you are doing?" Lin Che sighed defeatedly. "Still nothing happen? I thought you are a balloon..."Without a second thought, she went closer to Wu and then withdrew once again.

Lin Che saw Wu's fear face and went blank for a second before bursting out laughing.

"Do you think of me kissing you? Wu... Who could've thought the dirty minded here is you." She said, shaking her head in disbelief laughing. "You over-confident lady! I'm just shocked at how your breath stinks!"

Wu said making a 'bleh' face and recalled earlier's event. "When you went closer I become afraid.... from a distance I already smell it, smells funny." Lin Che put her hand in her mouth and released a breath.

She withdraw it once again and smell it before gagging. "Hella right! Shit! It's been a while since I brushed my teeth..."

"Use this..." Wu uses his power making a toothbrush appeared. its handle was a bamboo and the brush is a straw. Lin Che awed and immediately took it. "How cool! Where's my toothpaste?"

"Make your own." Wu said making rose petals, salt and water appears. Lin Che clap her hands together and beamed. "This seems fun."

"Where's the bone?" Wu froze and then look at her stuttering. "I've heard ancient peoples uses bone too to make their toothpaste." Lin Che said normally and took her chopstick.

"I will do the toothpaste thingy soon. Let me have my fill first." She pause before looking at Wu. "Don't forget the bone... Can it be a human's bone? I long wanted to taste one..."
