She isn't dead

This made Xu Cheng's eyes to shoot open. As he was about to took a step forward, but then come to his senses and halted. [If she really had done this... Is she planning something?]

He made up his mind and left the manor. Real stone were immune to fire. Lin Che swore on never taking it off, he believed her. So when he saw the corpse, he didn't saw marks in her left wrist.

[It definitely wasn't her. Since she's planning something, I better let her... Xiao Che, how come you're acting on your own without me...? Just don't risk your life ever again. I won't be crying over your funeral ever again, whether it's fake or not.]

Xu Cheng enjoyed calmly on resting his eyes, when he heard swords clicking together after the carriage come into stop. He shot his eyes open and sighed frowningly.

"Hah...! Why don't you just let me sleep?"

He complained as he stretched his arm sleepily. Xu Cheng yawned and was about to get out, when he heard someone shouted.

"A wind couldn't escape the carriage without someone opening it. However, if it breaks free, you would be hot right? With your own sweats dripping all over your body."

*You couldn't escape the carriage without opening the entrance. However, if you breaks free, you'll be, wouldn't you be hot? With your own hot and fresh blood dripping all over your body.* Xu Cheng let out a cold smirk as he guess what it says.

"A lady's voice huh? How cute is it trying to warn me? A few bandits were nothing compared to the years I've endured, in the battlefield."

He said and took a seat casually.

[Fu Rong himself can handle it by himself.] He thought and calmly close his eyes. Xu Cheng tsked and moved swiftly, at the same time a sword almost hit him to where he was sitting before. "Let me sleep aughh! What's taking him so long?"

Xu Cheng asked groaning as his sleep was disturb. He stood up and got out of the carriage. Fu Rong bowed respectfully. "Sorry, my lord."

With that, Xu Cheng took Fu Rong's sword and drag Fu Rong to his side, using the sword they avoided the flying arrow who was suppose to approach them. Xu Cheng look at the few bandits fighting with his guards and ordered Fu Rong.

"Bring me my sword."

Fu Rong hesitated before nodding and left, looking back and forth. Lin Che's eyes widen, when Xu Cheng's eyes directed to hers, even though she is hiding very well.

What made her more embarrassed was it was him who turned out to be the guy in the carriage. "Wu, let's go."

Lin Che ordered and fled together with Wu hurriedly.

[I didn't know the person in the carriage turns out to be him.] Wu beside her asked as they landed.

"Hey, what's the rush?" Lin Che close her eyes tight and asked. "Do you know the guy?" "Huh?" [How could he be so charming... I didn't know they exist.] "D you know the guy? The guy who came out of the carriage?"

Lin Che again asked.

Xu Cheng's side

As he waited for his sword, a bandit suddenly shouted while approaching him with a knife and was about to attack him, when Xu Cheng took a pebbles and flick it, hitting the bandit's forehead making it bleed.

At the same time, Fu Rong came out and threw Xu Cheng's sword letting him catch it.

Xu Cheng didn't open it, instead... He punched the bandit's chest hard with his sword's handle. The bandit stood there frozen before coughing up bloods and collapse in the floor.

He open his sword and threw his sword's cover far away, hitting the bandit earlier who had the bow and arrow.

With Fu Rong by his side, they both ran to their opponents.

Xu Cheng spotted the biggest among them all and smirked, while checking him out.

[A worth opponent.] He wounded the guy's right arm and dropped his sword on purpose.

Xu Cheng look at him calmly as he didn't budge but stumbled a bit flinching.

The guy curse and swing his fist at Xu Cheng, aiming at his fist but he manage to dodge it by looking at his left in ease.

'Indeed' Xu Cheng whispered to himself. [But not for long.] He thought and with murderous look on his face, he grab the guy's head by his fist and knock him on the ground making the ground to crack and made a sound.

All of them froze hearing it. "You're weak.

Xu Cheng said and took his sword humming. He look back and hit the guy in the back of his head using his sword handle. With relaxed face, he walked to the carriage and ordered.

"Kill them all. Make it fast~" [Surely they're not bandits but hired assassins.]
