Lin Gong soon fall asleep as he was tired of crying. Leng Lin lets him rest to her knees sighing.

Leng Lin continue on humming coaxing him to sleep.

A few minutes later, Lin Gong open his eyes and jolted by seeing Leng Lin's sleeping face. Lin Gong massage his temple and sighed, unbelievably.

He took his hat and was about to leave, when he stopped mid-way.

Lin Gong gritted his teeth and tsked defeatedly. He slowly approach her and carry her in a bridal style, towards to his secret built house in the forest.

[I wasn't suppose to invite strangers here but...]

Lin Gong tucked her with his favorite and only blanket in the house. "You better not tell this to anyone. Whoever you are..."

Lin Gong took a book and started reading as he took a seat next to the bed.

"You're awake... so soon?"

Lin Gong asked innocently as his face were a few inches of hers. Leng Lin's eyes widen, and she push Lin Gong hard and sat up straight.

Leng Lin look around and back at Lin Gong apologetically.

"I'm sorry... Are you okay?" Leng Lin immediately support him and bit her bottom lip in nervousness.

Lin Gong sighed loudly and massage his temple. "Seriously... How many time will you say you're sorry?"

Lin Gong cleared his throat and shake her hand.

"Lin Gong. Call me any nicknames expect for Xiao Gong or anything with Xiao, I don't mind. Son of General Lin. Nice to meet you too."

As he tightened the hold, Leng Lin had her eyes widen.

He asked leaning closer and whispered to her ear. "We're about to get married. No need to get so tense."

"The, I'll call you Ge General."

"What a weird name... Alright! You must be the only one to calls me that."

Lin Gong said domineeringly, which Leng Lin nodded. "Sure. Same to me as well." Her smile froze as she look outside. [Shit...!]

"What time is it?"

Leng Lin asked, and they both look at each other frozen with their eyes widen.

"Let's go."

They both run fast to the lake and stopped panting. "See you later." After a few seconds, the two separated in different route bidding each other goodbye.

Within a few days, there friendship began to grow up faster.

Leng Lin and Lin Gong waved at each other again. Lin Gong turned around, when he took one step, Leng Lin asked.

"See you at your birthday gathering?"

Lin Gong turned his head but not his body and smile.

"Yeah. I also have a surprise for you."

But it all crashing down by one single mistake at Lin Dong's birthday gathering.

Lin Gong slowly open his eyes and sat up. He look at his side to see a sleeping Leng Cang. [What?!]

At the same time the door burst open and all of his father's important guest and so did the Prime Minister's family including Leng Lin was there with there eyes widen.

Prime Minister Leng looked down not facing Leng Lin's teary eyes. "Lin'er. Your engagement with General Lin's son... Your sister... She will take your place... Sorry..."

"I should've known... I didn't know you and elder sister kept this for long... Well..."

"Happy re-engagement... Don't worry... I wish you both a happy marriage."

Leng Lin fake a joyous smile as she waved.

"I should get going. Take care..." Leng Lin was about to turn when Lin Gong stopped her. "Give me some time... I'll fix this, and explain you the rest when the time comes..."

"No need... We're just friends... Remember...? The engagement for the both of us is not suppose to happen anyways..."

As Leng Lin finished saying that, she walked out coldly.
