"Expensive? How much?" Wu shook his head, heaving a sigh of irritated. "One of my ears cost 700,000 of gold. Why?" Lin Che's eyes widen in shock. "Wow... That much? Why don't I sell you and escape together after I receive the money secretly?"

"Fun right? I know." Wu took a few deep breathes and shouted. "Of course it is fun to you, for you only! You're the only one who's crazy here!" Lin Che gave a heart breaking laugh and answered back. "Call me psycho baby~"

She said in a teasing and playful tone. "I'm not your baby." Lin Che flick his forehead, chuckling. "you're not my baby indeed... But you look like a baby, that's why. Baby face..." Lin Che murmured in the end.

General Lin's Resident Entrance

As the carriage halted in front of General Lin's Entrance, he hesitated on going or not. He took a step out and first look at the blue sky. [I believe in my gut... Xiao Che... you are not dead still right...?" When he sense something wrong, he look at the resident's rooftop and saw a girl with a white balled like pet?

He shake it off and look up again, only to see clouds. [Am I imagining?]

Lin Che leaned in the cherry blossom tree and keeps puffing. "What the hell?! That was freaking close...!"

"You... You weren't tired? Even a bit? How come? Are you?" Wu tsked arrogantly. "You should improve your stamina, don't you agree?" Lin Che twitched her lips and sighed. "And earlier at night, I just mocked the two assassins about it..." She said letting Wu to hear it.

"Hah. Good for you." He said before disappearing. "What the-"

Lin Che glanced sideways and shut her mouth up immediately. She saw Lin Cang walked pass her directly and didn't notice her because of her fuming and rolled her eyes.

[She must be older than my father.]

"Quite sneaky for a girl, right?" Another familiar voice sounded. [Who would have such a great and hot voice?]

She look around but there's no one. Suddenly, the tree behind her made a move. When she turned around, she was greeted with a branch of peach blossom. She look up at the man and asked. "Who...?"

Her other words, went stuck in her throat when she take a good look of his appearance. She immediately cover her mouth and blushed. "My god. Sorry..."

Xu Cheng frowned. "Are you okay?" Lin Che nodded and turned to leave. [Was there something wrong with my face? One look and she started to... Forget it...] It's not his problem anyways.

Outside of General Lin's Resident

Lin Che's face was completely red as tomato, when Wu appeared in front of her. "Where were you? Why did you suddenly disappeared? You little..." Lin Che stop and took a deep breathe calming herself. Wu ignored her question and look at Lin Che's tomatoed red face blinking blankly.

"What happened to your face?" Lin Che touched it and asked. "It is a bit hot of a weather today. Why'd you ask? Is there something wrong with it?" Wu moaned. "Yeah. You look very..."

"Hot?" Lin Che asked confidently.

"Yeah."

Lin Che smiled confidently. "I know right..."She was cut off by Wu's voice. "You really look like a freshly hot cooked tomato. What have happened?"

Lin Che froze and was too stunned to speak. "Hey!" Wu shake his body back and forth, in front of Lin Che's out of the world and frozen face. "Oi! What's with you? Something wrong?"

Lin Che snap back to reality and slap her forehead with closed eyes, sighing. [I shouldn't have expected anything nor something better to this guy...] "Expected what?" Wu asked blinking innocently.

"Nothing."

The other side: Xu Cheng's, Cold Palace

He look around and close his eyes, laughing sadly. "Hah. So you are really...gone?" Images of Lin Che's cute little toothless face smiling brightly appeared on his mind. "It's been 15 years, since we've met. Why did you leave so suddenly without bidding me a goodbye?"

"This? I'm never gonna take this off...never." Little Lin Che said, while playing with the stone bracelet in her left wrist. "Why?" Nine year old Xu Cheng asked curiously. "Because my mom made it specially for me." Little seven year old Lin Che replied sweetly with a grin.
