9. Your Highness Mora

Chills spread to his spine when the eyes landed on him. Without thinking straight he shot the gun towards the figure when the figure disappeared from that spot at lightning speed.

He ran out of bullets and tried to take the girl on the chair hostage. But before he got to the action his head snapped to a different angle and his breath came to an abrupt stop.

Mo Ling looked at the girl before her while the latter stared at her unblinkingly.

After Snow settled her emotions and got back to her senses, she saw Mo Ling walking to the basement door to leave after she freed her from the binding ropes.

Snow hurriedly got up and knelt down on one knee despite her injuries, with a hand made into a fist pressing against her heart she shouted..

"Your highness Mora!"

Mo Ling paused in her steps and her deep voice echoed in the room.

"Take her with you and attend to her injuries."

With that said she left the room.

After she left two figures appeared in the room and looked at her from the distance and there's exhilaration in their expressions.

Then they collectively looked at Snow who was kneeling ignoring her injuries and sighed at the sight.

"Get up snow.." one of the guys who's relatively shorter than the other came to her to support her to her feet.

"How did you land in their hands?" The burly man asked when he locked his eyes on snow who's badly tortured.

"I was scouting news about Her Highness and slipped at a moment. They took the window and captured me."

"You two.. we thought you were dead along with her.." she trailed off..

"We were on the brink of death but got saved at the end. We are by Her Highness all this time.." Lee the short man replied.

"Her Highness.. is she.. " halfway through her sentence Reaper the bulky man interrupted.

"We can talk after we tend to your injuries. Come with us."

Mo Ling got back to the Bi residence at ten in the night and sneaked into her room through the window.

She then went to the washroom and undid her shirt. There's blood seeping through her black shirt on her left hand. The bullet earlier grazed past her left shoulder when she's dodging them.

She frowned at the sight of it. It's proof that her abilities are not at her peak right now.

She roughly wiped the blood with water and took a shower. After that she carelessly applied a little medicine and bandaged it.

When she came to the side of the bed the tablet on the side table flashed a white light. She unlocked it and saw the reply to her message.

"78, 20, 22.." she slowly repeated the numbers.

'so there are 78 living currently in the scarlet army. 20 were missing.. and 22 deaths.'

The rim of her eyes turned red. And then she typed another message before sending it.

She went straight to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to get a drink.

When she tried to turn around she bumped into a hard chest with her left hand and she winced in pain.

She looked up and met eyes with Bi Yuhan who's eyebrows were locked together while looking at her.

"Where were you?"
