I emerge out of the darkness rested and ready for the day. A full day stuck in my and Aren’s room.
The first thing my eyes laid on was Smokey sleeping soundly in my arms. I carefully carry Smokey to the foot of the bed. He still needs sleep it seems. As for me, I got ready for the day.
I did decide to keep my usual clothes on, didn’t see the point of dressing up if I’m stuck here. I open my door and sadly, Aren was gone. I expected it but it was still sad. I really will be alone today.
As soon as I thought that, the sound of trumpets echo outside. I go to the window and look at the street down below.
“Dwarves…” I said with wonder on my tongue.
Their just like I’d imagined. Short, stocky, and all muscle. Their armor is heavy and earthy. The brown and silver contrasting heavily with the golden city.
But what really caught my attention was what they were carrying. The Dwarves were marching in columns and the centerpiece of the parade was a carriage.
