As they were talking, one of them asked, "Does that mean that many clans will try to snatch it from us?"

The ape nodded and replied, "Yes, that's why the king is now tightening the security here. Other clans won't care about this, but our mortal enemy, the turtle race, must have planned to do something."

"The turtle kingdom is always monitoring our clan, and I am sure that they already knew about it."

"Yes, it may be possible as the turtle clan was known as a smart clan even though they are slow. Their defense is also hard to penetrate, so they are irritating."

Many nodded, and then a male child monkey asked curiously, "Why did we become an enemy of the turtle clan?"

Many understood him, as a child didn't know their history.

The ape replied, "You don't know this since you were a child, but every adult in the kingdom knows it. It started with our ancestors. Our first monkey king originally had a friendship with the 1st turtle king."

"They were always joking and competing with each other like when the turtle king challenged him to see who would be the one who could go to their house first. The monkey king accepted it and thought that he was a fool, as he was slower than him, but the turtle king is cunning, as he is always bringing his house behind him."

"They always argued, but they maintained their friendship, but one day it all changed. As they were playing in the forest, they saw a mysterious tree and it had some fruit on it. Yes, it was the holy banana."

"They decided to taste it and realized it was a treasure, and they could not contain their excitement."

"They were both filled with greed and didn't know how to divide it. They could feel that this fruit can make them stronger, so they started to create a plan in their minds."

"The cunning turtle king said that he must get the fruit, and the tree would be on the monkey, but he didn't agree, as he was always being fooled by him, so he thinks that he was plotting something."

"The 1st monkey king said that he must get the fruit, and the tree would be given to the turtle. The turtle accepted it reluctantly, but deep inside, he was sneering at the monkey king."

"They divided it, and the king took the 10 bananas that were on the tree and gave the tree to the turtle. 1 out of 10 bananas was ripened, and he thought that he could eat them all."

"The monkey king thought that he finally won against the turtle king, so he ate the fruit directly. Suddenly, his strength exploded, and his bloodline became thicker and stronger, but when he ate the second banana, he suddenly became sick, and he knew that he was poisoned. The poison didn't kill him, but it only reduced his power and made him look older. He realized that he couldn't eat them until they were ripe. He knew that he had been fooled by the turtle, so he went to confront him to take back the tree, as his 8 remaining fruits are now wasted."

"The turtle king sneered at him and explained what kind of tree it was. He explained that this tree could produce 5 bananas every 50 years, and it was already ripened, so he plotted against him to take the tree, as he could wait for 50 years because he had a long life. He also let the monkey king enjoy the fruit because he knew that he couldn't eat the unripe fruit."

"The monkey king was angry, but the turtle king sneered at him and hid in his territory so he would not steal it from him. He also explained that the fruit can still ripen even without being on the tree, but it would take a hundred years. He said that to remember their friendship."

"Since then, the monkey and the turtle clan have become mortal enemies. The turtle clan was getting stronger because they could harvest every 50 years, while our clan only had the last holy banana because our predecessors already ate the other 7 holy bananas."

"The current king was waiting for many years to eat the banana, as it was the last holy banana. It was also our last chance to rise because when the current monkey king was born, the ancestors said that his bloodline purity is high, and if he ate the last holy banana, he could surpass the 1st monkey king and maybe take revenge on the turtle clan."

"The turtle clan knew of this, so maybe they would try to stop him from eating it."

The ape finished his story, and the child now realized why they became mortal enemies.

Dave, who was listening, was dumbfounded as he felt it was familiar, like a fable from his previous life.

'I thought monkeys are smart.'

Dave didn't care about their grudges as he planned to steal from them. He was just cautious because he had yet to see how strong the monkey king was or if someone could threaten him in the monkey kingdom.

He learned that it would ripen today at night, so he started moving toward the monkey castle.

He began formulating a plan in his mind. He was not a rash person, and he needed to ensure his plan succeeded.
