Chapter 23 : The Case of the Missing Sperm
*Matthew's POV*
I answered the phone as I stepped away from Trinity. I had thought about not answering it, but then I had noticed that it was my lawyer on the screen.
"What is it?" I asked in a hushed tone as I answered the phone.
"Matthew, I found out who received your sperm." My chest tightened and I paused for a moment, turning to look at Trinity. "Meet me at my downtown office and we can discuss the details and where you want to go from here."
I waited in silence for just a moment longer before sighing. "Alright, I'll be there."
Then, I hung up the phone.
Trinity was staring at me and I could see the irritation on her face. And for the first time in a long time, I actually cared. She must not have realized I was joking when I had made my last comment about her not working hard. Granted the job of a personal assistant was not particularly labor intensive, but I did think she did do her job well, especially lately.
