Adaptation Vs. Transcendence.

Completely removing the clone from his sight, Jin stuck his staff into the ground, bending it backwards as he turned to face the direction Sukuna and the clone fought.

"Heh, can't let you two have all the fun."

WHOOOSH!

Using the staff as a sort of bow, Jin flung himself into the fold of battle, immediately landing a drop kick in the creature's chest, sending it flying back with incredible force.

"Urgh!"

Tanking the slashes Sukuna sent at him, Jin summoned another staff from his hair and thrusted it at the man with all of his might.

Sukuna easily avoided the thrust and closed in on Jin, delivering multiple slashes that took both of his arms off.

'His cursed techniques are all used through some type of contact with his arms...'

Just as Sukuna was about to deliver the final blow to his neck, Jin quickly regrew his arms and sent out a slash, clashing with Sukuna.

"Hm?!"

His now torn off arms that lay on the ground suddenly turned into clones of himself that both charged Sukuna, surprising the ancient sorcerer greatly.

'What a versatile technique!'

Rushing Sukuna together with the clones, even with the formers' incredible combat experience, the King Of Curses was quickly overwhelmed by the pressure.

Using the two clones to lock him down, Jin quickly jumped over Sukuna and clenched his fist, cursed energy surging all over it.

"This might kill you, Sukuna."

After massively increasing the Mass and Density of his arm, Jin spun downwards and-

"Urgh!"

The cursed spirit suddenly appeared once again!

In one move, it stabbed both Jin and Sukuna through their torso's and threw them through multiple buildings, leaving nothing but a trail of blood behind.

"GRAGHHG!!"

Letting out a triumphant roar, the creature picked up a building and rushed at the duo, it's speed still completely insane even while carrying such a gigantic object.

Just as it was charging up to hit them, both Sukuna and Jin appeared next to the creature with a blur, their eyes locked squarely on it.

SLASH! SLASH

Sukuna slashed off the creature's legs while Jin separated it's head from its body, both actions taking place at the same time. Using its separated head as a springboard, Jin grabbed the building and swung it down on the creature, blowing it away while creating a massive crater in the ground.

'Tch! That damned cursed spirit.'

Sukuna then appeared through the debris, as he had somehow managed to avoid the giant building falling down on him, slashing Jin multiple times with incredible speed.

Jin immediately struck back with slashes of his own as he increased the density of his body, which allowed to only receive skin deep cuts from Sukuna's slashes.

WHOOSH!

Much to Jin's chagrin, the creature appeared again, completely healed and the wheel behind its back turned a little bit.

Both Jin and Sukuna noticed this fine detail, but they didn't think much of it. After all, the creature didn't seem to change after the fact.

That was until they tried slashing him again.

It shrugged it off as if it was a flesh wound and struck at both of them rapidly, sending them flying back.

'It adapted!'

That was the thought that ran through both of their minds the moment they saw this.

This fact changed the dynamic of the battle immensely.

The trio fought like rabid wolves, destroying everything around them as each of them tried to gain the upper hand.

Then Sukuna and the creature realized something else as they fought.

Sukuna's slashes started bouncing off of Jin's body while the creature's sword bent anytime it came in contact with him.

Jin had transcended the concept of 'blades'.

At the same time, rapidly gaining mastery and understanding over 'Shrine' itself.

Sukuna, feeling his blood boiling with excitement at these new developments, laughed hysterically as they fought relentlessly.

Truthfully, the fact that the King Of Curses was still keeping up just fine even though both of his opponents were effectively immune to his main form of attack was a true testament to his power.

Combining his red lightning with 'Shrine', Jin spammed a multitude of slashes enhanced with the vicious element, massively increasing their destructive power.

The creature was immediately overwhelmed as it's limbs were severed and it's body eviscerated by the technique.

In response though, Sukuna closed the gap with 'Domain Amplification',shrugging off the slashes as he tried to force Jin into close combat.

"Bad choice, Sukuna."

Jin parried all of his attacks as if he had seen them coming before they were made, almost like a form of precognition.

"Everyone has a pattern..."

The sorcerer quickly broke through Sukuna's guard, immediately penetrating the King Of Curses torso with his arm, their gazes firmly locked together.

"...And I've just figured yours out."

Pulling his hand out of the man's torso, Jin delivered innumerable rapid fire 'Cleave' slashes directly onto Sukuna's body, bisecting him as he kicked his body away.

WHOOSH!

Just as expected, the beast showed up once again, completely healed.

The sword on its' hand had transformed into a spiked mace, seemingly because of Jin's transcendence over the concept of 'blades'.

"Whose shikigami are you, I wonder? Your Adaptation vs. my Transcendence...who do you think will come out on top?"

The two immediately engaged in battle of blows, with Jin's physical strength crushing the creature's mace on first impact.

Deflecting all its blows, Jin savagely ripped of both of the creature's arms, jumped on it's head, ripped it's wings off and stomped it's face down into the ground, embedding the creature's form into the surrounding geography.

"Try to survive, beast. Lightning Spear: Unending Strikes."

Summoning red lightning in the form of a spear in both hands, Jin rapidly battered the creature into the ground with Spear after Spear, seemingly unable to get tired from the exertion.

Suddenly, the wheel on the back of the creature began to turn.

CLEUK!

Jin immediately grasped the wheel mid-turn, a large, vicious smile appearing on his face.

"Not while I'm here you don't."

With all of his might, Jin spun the wheel backwards and started peppering the creature with even more lightning spears, causing even more untold destruction.

The creature started to fight back as it turned over, pushing Jin off of it's back. By this time, it had completely regenerated, seemingly giving it extra confidence as it rushed at Jin.

"Tch. It's for you to die, beast."

Jin landed on the ground and clasped his hands, revealing a giant stream of lightning as he slowly pulled them apart.

"Extension Technique: One True Lightning Sp-"

Jin's words became stuck in his throat as he noticed a certain figure crouched in between the creature and himself.

The figure had already made a sign with both hands, his eyes locked on Jin.

Of course, this figure was Sukuna. He had appeared in the midst of the battle with such stealth that Jin didn't even notice him until it was too late.

And he would pay dearly for that oversight.
