The Ominous Elevator

Tang Fei had woken up this morning to a rose colored world. She had risen to see Leng Youyuan laying down next to her, but she had fallen asleep at the counter… meaning he took the initiative to sleep with her!

So, even when she had to face her male gods sharp retorts about how she had been the one to cling onto him like a sticky rice cake even in her sleep and handle Nan Peiyao's annoying smirk at breakfast, she stayed on cloud nine. Love was truly a E thing!

But, all good things must come to a close, and after a few more muffled screams Tang Fei had to head to work. Having neared the firm she immaculately parked her baby in the company's parking space, and trotted to the glass skyscrapers front doors. While it wasn't necessary for her to work on Saturday's, Secretary Wen had called to inform her that the prosecution was nearing, and it wouldn't hurt to get the argument prepared ahead of time.

With a light sigh she brought out her company ID to open the door, and adorned a polite smile once she stepped inside the building. Instantly the cold air of the office surrounded her involuntarily making her shiver and pull at her sweater.

In late November it was already cold enough to start bringing out the coats that had been shoved to the back of the closet during summer, yet people couldn't get the idea through their thick heads that they probably shouldn't keep the air condition at a temperature close to freezing! Tang Fei huffed quietly in annoyance, at least she had some blankets in the closet to comfort her. Finally, after standing around for a few seconds she adjusted to the cold, and began to continue to walk to the elevators with the occasional wave to a coworker.

Within a few seconds the sleek metal elevator came into view, and she lazily reached out to press the button. For some weird reason the elevator was giving her an ominous feeling, but a lot of stuff seemed to do that lately, so shrugging it off she entered the opened doors.

The elevator smoothly made its way up the building, and curiously Tang Fei turned to look out of the glass back of the machine. Casting a golden glow over the city skyline the sun gently rose to settle over the multiple skyscrapers that rose high into the air. The view was so gorgeous even after seeing it so many times, that Tang Fei, having been entranced, was unable to notice the boarding of her boss, the office"devil".

"It's quite a beautiful morning is it not Ms.Tang," Gu Zhen calmly remarked.

'Oh sh-,' she inwardly cursed feeling her body jump in surprise. "A-ah, Mr.Gu you surprised me there," with an awkward laugh she tried her best not to instinctively run to the corner, only slowly backing away. " You're right it is quite a lovely morning, it's a shame that I cannot admire it longer since I have to get to my office and finish up some work." With a bright and slightly forced smile Tang Fei pleaded to her ancestors to speed up this elevator.

But contrary to her pleas the elevator instead slowed down before lightly shaking and coming to a complete stop. It seemed… they were stuck.

Tang Fei: Does the world have something against me -_-

"What a predicament we seem to be in Ms.Tang, it seems we'll have to wait for assistance," Without an ounce of nervousness Gu Zhen calmly laughed after pressing the elevators alarm button which subsequently rang out in response.

"Haha, so it seems Mr.Gu." Tang Fei laughed along while resolutely deciding to hide away in the corner far from this devil while she waited to get unstuck. "Well then I guess I'll retire to my phone to relive some boredom while I wait. I enjoyed chatting with you Mr.Gu," in a professional tone Tang Fei slowly backed off into the corner.

"As did I Ms.Tang," with a smile he "slithered" away from Tang Fei.

Letting out a quick sigh of relief she turned her attention to her black smartphone. Immortal Heavens could be played on a mobile device, so she had some escape from the devil that was next to her. Inexplicably she felt like the office devil's character was similar to another snake she knew.

After a few seconds she was able to log in, and quickly got immersed in grinding mobs. And her character expertly danced around leaving only a flash of red visible on the screen, she had truly earned the number 3 spot on the rankings. But unbeknownst to Tang Fei a certain "office devil" had caught sight of her screen.

"It seems Ms.Tang plays Immortal Heavens as well," forever smiling Gu Zhen gestured to her phone screen.

"Ah yes I do, if Mr.Gu plays it too then maybe we should add each other," out of courtesy Tang Fei invited the devil, thinking that he'd likely politely refuse.

"Sure," he responded.

Visibly shocked, Tang Fei inwardly cursed, if she really friended him she'd be too scared to even log on. But, being unable to refuse the proposal now , she forced out a smile once again," Alright, may I have your username."

Slowly Gu Zhens usual calm smile morphed into a slight smirk, and he opened his mouth to reveal sharp canines. "I believe Ms.Tang would recognize it as Heavenly Dragon."
