Meet and greet

Allison-

I hold my face as the stinging gets worse. I never thought I would be sitting here, terrified of what could happen if I go back. Me the person who gets suspended get day if the week for the dumbest shit. Yet here I am crying my eyes out. In the middle of my waterworks I hear a sound, A twig snap, I recognize the sound, but it was enough to have me terrified. "Are you alright? " a voice called out, I didn't answer.

Everyone knows Jacob, the last thing I needed was for one of them to run off and tell him where I am.

I ran off behind the school, I'm missing Jacob's game, but I don't care, I ran off to my safe space. Behind the school, if you go deep enough, there's a beautiful waterfall, a small lake it formed, with green growing all around it. In the water, you see the most adorable little fish staring back at you, sometimes I like to copy them.

But, not tonight as you see, I just want to be left alone.

But this mysterious stranger seems to not get the hint.

"I hope I didn't startle you" he states " I saw you run off and got worried, it's getting kinda dark, and the woods are not safe at night"

"Well you don't need to worry about me" I say I just want him to leave

"I worry"

"Do you now? "

"I worry when I see a beautiful girl run off crying after the biggest asshole in the school, strikes her in the face"

This got me quiet, the stranger takes it as his invitation to sit next to me

"What's your name?" The question comes out cooly and smoothly like he expected an answer.

I don't know who is or what he can do, so I complie.

"Allison"

"A beautiful name"

We sit in silence for a while as I take him in.

Stranger has brown, curly hair that only reaches to his shoulder, green eyes darker than the forest, his skin was light brown. You can tell god took his time with him, his eyebrow bushy, but neat, he had one earring in his right ear, and his cheekbones stood out, almost like they want to be noticed. Stranger had a basketball jersey on. Number 18.

"You know if you want you can just kiss me already"

I blush, no one has ever talked to me like that. Before I take him up on his offer, I hear rushed footsteps heading towards me.

Damn it! How could I forget about my mate already, stranger seems to be on alert. Guess he hear it too.

A face pops out the Darkness, oh my it's dark already I must have been out here for at least an hour if the game is already over, Jacob will have my head.

Jacob full body finally appears, he was sweating, must have been a hard game, he could have really used his mate for support, and yet here I am sitting in the darkness with stranger.

I don't regret it

"Allison" he yells "oh my god Allison, I was so worried about you"

He pullse up to my feet and engulfs me in a tight hug, like he was afraid to lose me.

"Your welcome "

Oh shit

"Excuse me?" Jacob questioned getting agitated,he has released me from the hug, but stranger wasn't backing down, in fact he stands up.

"You didn't get come out here to check in your girl dude, right after you bitch-slapped her in the face"

My cheeks heat up, I didn't realize so many people saw now I'm embarrassed

Jacob lightly pushes me away to confront stranger

"And how do you know if she didn't deserve it?"

"Since when is it ok to slap a girl in the face? "

"Since she decided to disrespect me, her boyfriend"

He can't exactly reveal he's an alpha to a human, and I don't think it would have helped, we don't even know if stranger knows who an alpha is. So Jacob said the next best thing, but I think it only makes it worse.

"Ok boys enough Jacob let's go, he's not worth a suspension"

"School's over babe"

I grab his hand and lead him out the forest

"Who was that, asshat" he questions,

"I have no idea, he was just someone who came to check out on me"

"Do you like him"

"Are you kidding me, I don't even know him"

"You still didn't answer the question"

I stopped and though for a moment, do I like him? Sure he's a stranger but he didn't more for me in an hour than my mate in a year

Jacob sees me contemplating my answer, so to reassure him I kiss him, which is incredibly hard considering I'm 5'7 while Jacob stands at school whopping 6'4.

He smiles, after the kiss, I guess that did the trick.

After getting out the forest Jacob insist on us going back to his house, he seems to be In a good mood so I complie.
