New Beginnings

"That's everything Jaylen?" A Black Elderly person says from behind the counter

He was referring to the African American teen who seemed about Sixteen Years old who was buying a bag of chips and some water

"Yes sir, all I can afford nowadays," The Teen says with a chuckle as he begins paying 

"How is school nowadays, you've been keeping up with your grades and staying away from the wrong people right?" The Elderly man says with a smile

"Yeah I've been doing good, my grades are higher than ever right now, I've just joined the engineering club too," Jaylen says as he brushes his dreads out of his face

That's when the store bell rings with about Five people walking in looking for trouble 

"Yo kid, where you from?" The leader says sizing him up and down

"My business," Jaylen says grabbing his stuff off the counter and about to walk away

Two people got in his way with their hands resting in their hoodie pockets

"My brudda asked you a question," One of them says annoyed making Jaylen look at him

"I don't have no beef with y'all bois, I just wanted some chips and a water," Jaylen says showing them

One of them suddenly tries to grab it making Jaylen push him back 

"You must got some balls, touching one of us like that, you must not know who we is," One of them says throwing a purple bandana at him 

"We the Final Legendz Boi, we own you"

"Yougins get out of my store, we don't want no problems," The Old man says desperately making one of them smirk

"Who was talking to you old man, shut up before I put a bullet in you," The leader says pulling out a gun

"Yo Dev you buggin'," One of the members says laughing 

"This shop is protected by The Houndz if they get word of anything shady going down, there will be consequences," The old man says making The Man named Dev angry

Without hesitation at the mention of the gang he hated the most, he pulls the trigger multiple times making the elderly man fly back 

"Pops!!" Jaylen says frantically running towards the counter and seeing his mentor's dead body making him tear up at the sight

He turns around and sees the group laughing at what Dev did

Stepping forward he tries to throw a punch but is tackled to the ground by one of them and beaten brutally and stabbed multiple times

Seeing what they did the group puts their hoodies on and runs out of the store

'Man…why did it have to be like this' Jalen thought as his body began to go numb as his blood poured out

'I wanted to have fun, I wanted a family…stupid' He thought before his consciousness finally began to fade 

His soul was taken to a fire that floats alone in the darkness

'What is this?' His Soul thought scared 

"Don't worry this nothing to worry about, just deciding what I'm going to do with you" The fire says making the soul shocked

"Don't be shocked, nothing ever comes from that," The fire says before his body begins to take shape into a humanoid body 

"Ah…you wanted to have fun right?" The Figure asks

"Ummm, Yea" He says skeptical 

"You wanted a family?" The Figure ask

"Yes?"

"Ima make an exception since someone asked," The man says as everything around him begins burning 

"Well have fun, ill see you again," The man says as the flames enveloped him making the soul get sucked into a wormhole

"Ahhhh!!!!" The Soul screamed as he teleported someplace making him nauseous 

He began fading in and out of consciousness every time he opened his eyes all he saw was darkness…until he didn't

One day he opened his eyes and was blinded by bright lights 

"Ouch," He says opening his eyes and looking around confused

He looked down at his hands and started observing himself

"I look Eleven," Jaylen says to himself as he picked himself off of the ground trying to see where he was 

Jaylen started observing himself as he realized he was in a town of some sort that he kinda recognized 

"This can't be," He says stunned before he runs trying to find a sign that indicates where he is until he comes across one

The Sign read Odale Town

Seeing this he immediately became excited at the possibility that this brought him 

"I wonder if I'm in the anime or the game…hopefully the anime," He says out loud as he looks at the very country town

'It seems like I'm homeless…man that sucks' He thought to himself because that was one of the worse case scenarios

'I don't know what to do now' He thought to himself before he looked at his clothing and smelled himself

'First thing first…A bath and some new clothing

"The Pokémon center should help," He says before he tries to figure out where the center was 

He walked the rural city observing where everything was before he made it to the center 

When he walked into the center trainers looked at him annoyed that he was there seemingly disgusted by him

'Man they need help'

"Welcome to the Pokémon Center how may I help you?" The Pink haired lady says nicely giving him the warmest smile he ever saw 

"Oh…I know this may be a lot to ask but" Jaylen says hesitantly 

"If it's in my ability I will help," The lady says nicely making his resolve strengthen 

"I was wondering if I could take a shower and maybe get clothes from your lost and found," Jaylen says making Nurse Joy smile 

"Sure, follow me," She says happily as Jaylen follows behind her

"If you don't mind me asking what's your name?" She asks 

"Oh the name is Jaylen, sorry for not introducing myself Ms. Joy," Jaylen says making Nurse Joy laugh 

"You can call me Nurse Joy, Jaylen if you don't mind me asking how did you become homeless?" She asks curiously having never seen him in the Pokémon Center before 

"I honestly don't know, I think I lost my memories because my head kinda hurts," He says to her as they stop at a room

"I'm sorry to hear that Jaylen when you're done…your clothes are gonna be on the counter," She says ruffling his hair before walking away

Wanting to smell good he immediately hopped into the shower not wanting to waste the opportunity 

'I wonder what's gonna happen now, I have no plan but to go beg Professor Birk for a Pokemon…I mean he's nice'

'I have no backing, I'd be lucky if my first Pokémon was a Rattata…or Zigzagoon because I'm in Hoenn' He thought 

'Let's hope something goes right…He did say I could have a family and have fun here, I guess the Pokémon are gonna be my Family'

After about Twenty minutes he got out of the shower dried himself off and looked around for his clothes

On the counter sat a new black t-shirt, black hoodie, black pants a black beanie, and a fresh pair of black running shoes making him shine 

"Man she is nice"
